Definitely a problem with Mweb.

How is it affecting you?

can we have a function button to drop the current session?

for example: go to MyAccount => MyAdmin => Drop current session.

:)

Hi DreamKing

Right now there is no such option available, the next best thing would be to turn of the router for about 15mins.
I will however forward you suggestion to the relevant persons, perhaps it could be included in future plans. ;)

Have enough people left Mweb or have you guys secured a lot more bandwidth? My torrents are running at line speed even during the day on my uncapped line o.0

/sobs because I paid for AH data to avoid shaping on this download

thank you.

I have one account which shares with two lines. When one location switched off but it still remained active in the system, then the other location couldn't use because of "simultaneous login". Everytime I have to phone to mweb and ask them to drop the current session. it is not convenience. Is that any idea that can improve the situation currently?

You have to change settings on your router. There is a thread on it here.

Good day to all,

I am having some issues with my DSL 1mb line premium. I am getting high latency and considerable high packet loss. My international ping idle at over 500 latency on Europe servers. Sometimes getting over 50% packet loss on TeamSpeak and locally games also sometimes have considerable high latency e.g. Dota 2- 500ms- 800ms on local servers and Counter Strike - 100ms+.

As you can see the speedtest's show my line is perfectly working, but in gaming, the latency increase is really high and packet loss in specific games is unbearable to play. I also did trace routes.
If anyone could assist me with resolving this problem I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jean-Pierre Smith

Your reading is fine yes and speed test results.

The concern here is what one is expecting of a 1MB line. Gaming and especially your type of Gaming over a 1MB line today is not going to leave you with no hair pulling.

The reasonable line speed for online Gaming over international servers is a 4MB line. Maybe there is guys out there with a 1MB line doing all that you doing but must probably be the only people or 3 on the exchange.

Please provide me with your MWEB email address.

No, I really think there is an issue. This is now the 3rd/4th person to raise this. I also noticed terrible latency in Starcraft 2 for periods of ±20 minutes, and I've never had it before on MWEB. Connecting to Telkom/3G immediately fixed the problem.

Please could you look into this and report it to the team.

Yeah, I'm getting the exact same, line is mostly fine and gaming is usually around 170-180ms, but then I get these insane lag spikes that last around 20min or so.

Hi PostmanPot

Gaming specific queries can be raised on our dedicated Gaming created platform: http://www.mweb.co.za/games/Home.aspx

Haven't a clue what to do there. 4/5 people have raised the issue here now, that's enough cause for concern and it would be appreciated if you could treat it as such and pass on to whoever can fix it.

Hi PostmanPot

I have sent the Gaming queries to our Gaming team and that is not to say there is a confirmed issue to fix.

Hi guys

The gaming team have advised that they are not aware of any issues at the moment.
They would still like to check it out and have requested that you send trace test done to the servers in question.
I will then pass it on to them to look into.

Please confirm how I can ping/trace Blizzard servers? Was under the impression it was not possible.
