MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Wife reports ADSL is currently down in Arcon Park, Vereeniging.

After load shedding it seems that many people including myself are unable to connect to any ISP. DSL link is up but internet is down. Some report being able to connect after 1-2 hours, sometimes minutes.

In my experience, before this bout of load shedding started, I would have the worst connection for a few days after the blackout and then the problem seemed to correct itself. Today is the first time this year where this behaviour has started again.
Definitely linked to power failure in my case. Let's hope there's a way they can fix this. Could just be UPS batteries that are failing... I don't know
 
Im having this god forsaken 'concentrator not reachable' error message everytime power returns from load shedding. It seems im not alone and its really pissing me off. Its bad enough we have to deal with fu*%ed service from eskom and telkom. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, or could actually give me some clear explanation of what this error is/why its happening

Our connection is also down. I get a "Concentrator not reachable" error on my Mweb FON modem
 
MWEB call center reports a nationwide Telkom authentication problem. Mine just came back up.

Not sure if this is the same issue as the posts above.

I have an Mweb Partner account, and we had load-shedding ending after 4pm today.

Adsl cam up immediately but no pppoe connection.

After an hour or so getting Telkom to recreate the port - still no connection.

I call the MWP support line and was told the my earlier session was still open - so I presume it thinks I'm trying to do multiple logons.

Someone needs to flip the switch and end the open session - how long does this take ?
 
Mwebguy i replied to your pm. Is there anychance this issue can be resolved or is this a telkom/eskom tag-team cluster **** and i have to just sit here and suck it up, or move to a first world country i guess. Thats probably the only real solution right?

Hours now and still nothing. Really weird thing is after many attempts to factory reset router and re-enter details once or twice internet returns for maybe 15s. Then it dissconnets and when i look back at my router settings somehow my account details have been replaced with someone else account. How is this even posible? It is an account ive never seen before or entered into the router

There was a Telkom authentication issue, last night.

tell me have you been able to connect today ?
 
Why did we not receive SMS's like with previous outages? My line went down at 14:00 yesterday.
 
I have a client in Cresta who also can't authenticate - adsl is solid green, internet light is off.

Port reset done.

Mweb says it's a Telkom problem but it sounds exactly the same as the problem I had yesterday caused by the Mweb radius server keeping an earlier session open.

What to do ?
 
So umm.. I downgraded my account temporarily. And just yesterday I upgraded back to my 4Mbit premium uncapped account..

I hope this is just a bug in your system where it doesn't realize Im now on a new package and doesn't actually end up throttling me...

Hi, I've re-auth'd your account. Please switch your router off for 3-5 minutes and test.
