Has anyone else experiencing buffering problems when streaming from apple tv or live streaming (Netflix/Hulu). It is more prevalent at night from about 18:00pm onwards. During the day it seamless streaming.

I have a 4 mb line and my speed when checked at night is about 3.4mb. I restart modem ,PC and issue remains.
What else should I be checking?(any suggestions)
I've had good service from Mweb the last 6 months with regards streaming so I defiantly know there is something is not 100% right.

I stream Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and iTunes video on my Apple TV with no issues. I'm on a 10mb line with Mweb which i'm sure makes a a big difference.

Try using an account from another ISP for comparison purposes.

Good Evening, is it only your streaming that is affected?

Are other protocols also degraded after 18:00?

Usually when I go check line speed when the buffering issue starts I find that the Internet is slow but when the speed test comes though it says it's running over 3mb. Protocols?? If you mean other devices- very minimal. Are there things that can be done to optimize.

Hi, when you notice this issue can you do a trace route to a local and international site and post the results.

Hi all

Our engineers are currently looking into an email authentication issue as a matter of urgency. Please bear with us during this time.

We will update you as soon as we have more information.

Please do not change any email settings.

Edit
UPDATE: Mail servers are gradually being restored. We will confirm once all services are fully restored.

Just for interest sake, the last week or so when doing speed tests I noticed my latency is a few ms slower than usual, but my DL and UL speeds is much faster than usual. Not at all complaining, I'm loving the faster speed and the around 50 ms latency doesn't bother me at all, I'm just wondering what causes or have caused this change?
I'm on a 4 MB uncapped package, these days my download speed is always above 3.9 and sometimes even hits 4 MB where it use to hover around 4.6 - 4.7, and my upload speed is always above 400 k where it use to almost constantly sit under 400.

Not uncapped but I know Mweb respond on this thread.

1001582:WS-FIP-ADSL-15GB-M: Wholesale Fixed IP ADSL 15GB Monthly

Is there a line speed limit for these accounts ?

A client has a 40Mb Vdsl line but is only getting 20Mb downloads. ( yes I know the 15GB will be gone in a flash, just testing ).

Yes it is but as far as I can ascertain it authenticates with Mweb, not with IS.

This is an Internet Solutions product, we do not support it at all.

You would have to refer your question to them directly.

Thanks but that does not make sense.

If it authenticates with Mweb then surely Mweb control the speed.
