MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Mmm...OK I was wrong looks like I am one of the heavy users. How the h@ll long is this throttling gonna last?

Any case will jump ship at the end of Nov. I was gonna go with Telkom all in one 2Mbps in any case.

For the moment will have to be happy with 34KB/s. This whole situation sux, having a funny deja vu feeling.

Where on MWEB's website is throttling for uncapped accounts explained in detail?

The system is reflecting that the speed limiting will be lifted in approx 2-3 days depending on how you use the account.
 
Thx for the feedback - for what it's worth. How is this calculated and what is my monthly limit?

The speed limiting is based on a 30 day rolling window period. The limit was not provided for us to share.

You can login to My Account via our website and see what the usage for the past 30 days is.
 
OK, that's clear as mud.

Will not use this service until Saturday morning then, hope I do not get throttled/shaped (whatever term you wanna use) before Monday morning then.
 
Any ideas when the Mweb MyAccount page will be working again? Would like to know for sure if I'm being shaped. I feel like I'm being throttled to **** on every protocol on my 4MB uncapped:

Also why throttle/shape at night? I get 7am-5pm you need to shape/throttle, but why now at 10pm? Is the network that overburdened?

I haven't been throttled but since Monday our internet has been so slow. Can mweb please look into this. I haven't been throttled as i can sometimes still get my full line speed

What was your test results like and if you could share that with me please as it will help me in finding the root cause of your connectivity issue.

I have refreshed your account. Have you tried lowering your line speed to see what that will do?
 
??? MWEB this is unacceptable. WE can't even browse local sites properly. I phoned the phoned the premiere department and there was a message about slow speed but can they hurry up. if I can at least browse local sites I would be fine with that but yeah. Always have issues a few days before the network change.
 
Well all I did to test was open a stream and try watch it and it lagged quite horribly. If you have a suggestion of what to test and how to do it let me know because I keep getting this problem.

I don't think the line speed is the problem right now. I don't have problems with anything really except for twitch.tv streams

You don't need to worry about throttling, for now ;-)

The Business package you on is not subject to throttling.

I just said I'm not getting throttled so there must be something else wrong. Please can you hurry up as we need the internet ASAP

Yes, November will be your last month because of the 1 calender month notice period required.

There are no reported issues regarding international that we aware of. The ping spikes, is that only in Guild Wars or other games as well?

Hey there MWEB Guy! Youtube refuses to stream and videos do not buffer at all. Facebook along with the chat feature keeps on timing out. International pages take forever to load and when they do photos and text stuff load half way.

In Guild Wars 2, I am now sitting with a constant ping of 1629ms. In APB Reloaded my ping has gone from 120ms to an insane 1350ms. In Smite my ping bounces from 922-2147ms.

Speedtests done to Telkom leave me with a ping of 147ms. It used to be 60-70ms at the most. Speedtests done to MWEB and MTN leave me with a ping of 328ms. Download and Upload speeds are fine.

I've been trying to phone Telkom to get them to look at my Exchange - I gave up after being on hold for 20 minutes. :(

HELP! :confused:
