MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Youtube videos suddenly just stop and have that loading icon.

I have a feeling they are running out of capacity because of the capped guys have double speed so they are also delaying upgrading uncapped until they can get more.

Good morning nfbs

Tell me has this improved or are you still experiencing this ?

So as January is a long month, and also I didn't really feel I am big user of the internet (Other than one or two series shows a night and / or any Linux updates on my XBMC machine and Laptop). I didn't see a further need to be a 4Mb Premium DSL user.

I phone mweb to drop me to the normal DSL user. The woman replies am I sure I want to do this, as I am a high DSL user.

You have used 47.16 GB so far this month.

Good MOrning

Looking at your usage statistics the standard account should be fine for you.

Please note that if your usage does increase drastically, you could be impacted on by throttling.

Let me know if you are still interested in changing your product

I was actually at 410 GB yesterday. I didn't mean to cut it this close, it's just varsity holidays and I'm not in the habit of monitoring my usage anymore, you know...having been on uncapped since it was launched.

MWEB Guy as I told you last week my line was updated to 10Mbps and my modem stated ADSL2+ and a couple days later it changed back to G.DMT and and now I'm having constant problems where I have to restart my modem, then the speed jumps right back up for a hour or so and then it goes back down to the 20kBps range.

Tuesday last week Telkom fixed my line and my modem stats on ADSL2+ were:

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (dB): 9.6 12.0
Attenuation (dB): 43.0 24.0

and everything worked great, then it changed back to G.DMT:

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (dB): 6.0 6.0
Attenuation (dB): 41.0 23.5

Afternoon, this is a common query.

Clients line is upgraded and their experience deteriorates. Telkom then has to drop the line speed to ensure that the clients experience stabilises

Before I make up my mind about changing ISP or upgrading my package I would like to know the following about MWeb:

How much GB can I download on a 1mb Premium Uncapped before getting throttled?
How much GB can I download on a 2mb Uncapped before getting throttled?
How much GB can I download on a 2mb Premium Uncapped before getting throttled?

Can help with the 1mb based on my experience. You cannot exceed 100gb in a 30 day period. Once that happens, they throttle you like crazy.

My line was fine the whole Tuesday to Saturday then they changed the ADSL2+ to G.DMT, I need it back on ADSL2+.

Before the 10Mbps upgrade my Upstream SNR was 12 then ADSL2+ and it remained on 12, now on the second G.DMT it suddenly went to 6, there must be some query or request to be moved back to ADSL2+.
