MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

I would say yes. I had the trail account, and after switching to the full paid account, with the new router the performance was exactly the same as with the trail account.

I'm either a fool or this extender doesn't work. I connect via Ethernet, successfully link it to my WiFi and then nothing, there's no new network to connect to.

ok quick tip i got from another forum for the wireless extender so you don't have to use the wps button.

Managed to setup the extender without WPS. They changed the default IP from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.2.2. Username admin, password 1234.

I managed to set it up fine, saw that 192.168.2.2 was the default gateway but once it's set up it doesn't seem to create its own network

I tried the WPS procedure but could not get it to work. So I connected via Ethernet and did a manual setup (http://myrepeater). That worked well but still it seems like the SSID broadcasted by the extender sometimes just disappears. Also I find that the time it takes for the extender to reconnect to the router after a restart is quite long.

Hi stephen123789

Yes our trial and paid uncapped accounts work in exactly the same manner.

Hi Pseudonym

Tell me has your extender and router paired correctly ?

You can tell this buy looking at the Wps light on the router, If it is stable blue then it has paired correctly

Mmm, Ok. It doesn't. Could it be that the range extender is too far from the modem? It's only about 10meters away.

It could very well be due to the distance from the router.

Try plugging it in closer and test.

It seems like my TV was interfering with the signal.

The modem was standing behind the TV to be out of sight. It's now standing next to the TV. WPS light is on and the key light on the extender is also on.

Mmmmmmmm

Ok. While typing this message both lights died again.

That's interesting.
Tell me have you changed your SSID on the router ?

Didn't change any settings anywhere. I did exactly what the directions said. Step by step.

Wifi and Internet works perfectly. It's just the WPS that keeps going off.

The extender does show signal and wifi activity though.

I have now escalated this to our specialists to investigate and contact you.
