MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

What streaming services were you experiencing buffering on?

Twitch.tv was pretty bad on 4mb uncapped account. Buffered about every 30 seconds, but exact same stream on Afrihost 2mb account didn't buffer at all. Maybe others have a better experience with Mweb and twitch, but it was impossible for me to watch Twitch on high quality with Mweb 4mb.

Then there was definitely a problem with your MWEB account. Since it worked on Afrihost 2Mbps, we can assume that you were using medium quality on MWEB 4Mbps, of which it not working is unheard of.

Yeah, not sure what was up with my account - I have friends in different parts of the country that experienced same/similar issues streaming with mweb on their premium accounts, they had more youtube issues than me though.

TEXTILE GUY - When you cancel your mweb account you receive a mail saying that you have to return the router. If you don't believe me, you can ask Mweb guy himself or even mail mweb to ask.

Hi stuffsCPT

Please PM me your MWEB email address.

International is slow as bubbling mud ..... ditto for the news server. Oh joy.

Man, I switch to another account and everything is perfect Mweb Guy ...... I'm getting tired of the excuses.

Funny how there's no reported issues with Mweb, but every night myself and a friend (both mweb customers) lag at the same time when playing diablo. then when switching to another ISP provider everything works fine.

Have given Mweb enough time to fix their issues, i'll be moving onto another ISP end of the month

Morning Paparazzi, please provide me your account details via private messaging and the time you encounter the problem.

Also, are you only having problems with diablo or is any other traffic being affected?

Hi Mwebguy. Thanks for the effort but I have already been in contact on Twitter with yourself and I have provided screenshots (Mweb & Afrihost) taken with Pingplotter which shows where the issues are in the routes. I mostly notice this while playing Diablo or streaming something on Twitch. This is not a happening constantly, but happens at random times at night between 5pm-12pm which is mostly when I have time to play some games. For example last night at about 22:45 everything went haywire, I had about 10% packet loss looking at the trace route to Battle.net ip for Diablo3 and my ping shot up to 1500 ms and the problematic devices were all mweb owned devices. Usually if I then switch to another ISP I have no problem. I am quite fair and usually give ISPs a fair chance too fix the issues but I have now had enough. The constant shaping of my 4MB line when i reach about 70Gb per month on an uncapped account is also a bit frustrating. I'm not sure what has happened lately at Mweb, but I use to be a very happy customer who at times did around 200Gb per month on a 4MB Premium Uncapped account, for the past year I have only passed the 100Gb barrier once.

Thanks for trying to help, but I've provided all info needed a long time ago without an answer or solution. My mind has been made up and my cancellation with Mweb is in progress

Thanks again.

Thanks again.

I would of like to enable monitoring from our side to see how the traffic graphs, it may have given us a bit more information.

Wish we could have found the route cause and resolved this for you though
