MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

"My Products" is missing from my account - so it's NOT ME being crazy, which technical support cannot explain or fix. Good lord!

Sorry guys I am dead serious that there are no cancellation options anywhere on the dashboard under my account. Maybe my account is weird. Thanks for the suggestions tough. I will go the telephonic route.

MWEB Guy;

Cancelling as the traffic management with MWEB is not in line with my needs.

My 10MB line gets 1MB speeds 99% of the with Usenet. I understand if this happens during office hours but last night at 21:00 my Usenet traffic was peaking at 1MB and it was very erratic. I expect full line speed for Usenet traffic after hours.

I switched to 2 different accounts (VOX and AH) and was pulling data at OVER 10MB consistently on my line.

Jeez MWEB been listening to your telephonic recording for over 15 minutes for technical support. Is anyone there? According to your accounts department I MUST cancel using my dashboard but my dashboard DOES NOT have that option anywhere. Dog chasing his own tail here. Please help.

Good Morning,

Please provide me your MWEB account details via private message.

I would also suggest running downloads in the latter part of the evenings to early mornings.

Torrent and p2p traffic is still being shaped at 21:00 in the evenings.

Remember that the shaper looks at the demand for high priority traffic and allocates more data to those. The demand for streaming, gaming content is still high at this time and will be prioritised over p2p traffic.

EDIT: received your account details via private message. I will have the relevant team make contact with you.

Howdy MWEB Guy,

I rely heavily on the support site at ASUS as most of my hardware need driver updates often, but for the life of me I can't download a single file from their file server. Is it just me or can I do something to get it going?

For example, everyting works up to : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_FORMULA/HelpDesk_Download/

But if you click a download link from there it will time out everytime, all day all week : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/audio/Realtek_Audio_Win7-8-8-1_V6017450.zip

I tried ipconfig /flushdns, as well as 3 different browsers with the same result.

Any idea?, thx.

What, no more uncapped/5GB AlwaysOn? That was one of the biggest reasons for me being with Mweb, and has been for a long time :(

There still will be ALwaysOn for all Mweb subscribers

Hi [XC] Oj101

The Uncapped WiFi Hotspots at malls was launched as a trial and stated for 6 months only but we ran it for way longer than that.

Therefore it was not a paying product but a free trial.

So where does that leave AlwaysOn? Is it going to change at all? I use it a LOT.

AlwayOn will remain the same, this change will not affect AlwayOn. AlwaysOn is separate from this.

Not a single download wants to start on my MWEB account. The minute I connect with a WA connection all my downloads work.

JHB/Kempton Park area.

What gives bro.

Morning TheRealWitblitz, did your downloads speeds increase through the course of the evening?

Nothing wants to start downloading. All from the browsers. Everything else seems to work fine, youtube, gaming, etc. I just can't download a single file but the minute I use another account it works. So I'm at a loss atm. This has been going on for about a week now, since I posted about not being able to download drivers.

Can you perhaps test using a download manager?

Afternoon schumi and Oj101, the sms is meant for all non MWEB clients.

MWEB FON Clients will now obtain uncapped wifi at all AlwaysOn networks and other MWEB wifi locations. ;)
