MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Anyone else experiencing trouble logging into ABSA's Internet Banking with an MWEB ADSL connection?

All the PCs on a client's network is having trouble doing that, but everything else is working fine.

Afternoon, we have no reported issues pertaining to accessing ABSA's online banking portal.

Thanks. It's very strange.

As I said, everything else works just fine, but ABSA is very slow or doesn't open at all.

From my ISP there are no issues logging in, so the fault is not on ABSA's side either.

So when you change the ISP you are connecting with on that network, the problem does not occur?

Nope there definitely an issue. I'm in CT on business uncapped, some but not all connections are extremely slow - even local sql connections are timing out.

Good Morning, there are no outages on our network at the moment.

Please do inbox me your MWEB account details in order for us to verify what may be impacting on your experience.

So, this complete bull**** just happened to me. Telkom changed my perfectly working ADSL line to interleaved mode, and my ping times are now through the roof.

Since my line is with Mweb, I assume it's you who need to sort this out with Telkom? If so, please put me back on fast path ASAP.

Hi new_in_za2

I checked your 4MB line and it is currently synced on 5115 kbps. Free faster speeds we all wished for ;-) The SNR readings are excellent.

Please feel free to provide me with the tests results showing your high ping. http://www.mweb.co.za/help/ADSL/FaultsandTroubleshooting/ADSLSpeedTest.aspx

Also provide a ping test done to a local & international site.

If you read the linked thread, most people are unhappy with the change as it means that their latency gets ****ed. So no, few people wish for having their ADSL line broken. Besides, my speed is exactly the same as it gets limited by you guys.

The SNR readings are excellent.

So why make my ADSL connection worse?

Please feel free to provide me with the tests results showing your high ping.

No, please feel free to return my ADSL line to its original, working state. If I want you or Telkom or anyone else to give me a higher latency, I'll let you know. Until then, leave my ADSL line as it is/was. Thank you.
