Hi MWEB Guy

To regards of my response and browsing it is back to normal now... Is there any feedback on the Seacom cutover yet?

Hi TmanSA,

The Seacom outage has been restored, we will be moving our customer base over shortly.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

Hi Spookie,

Have you tried playing WoW with a WTFast account? If not, you can get one on our game zone site

Regards,
MWEB Guy

Hey Mweb Guy,

I've got a lowerping account which has always worked for me, until I started using Mweb. WTFast wasn't any good (added to that is the horrible image attached to the product), it increased my latency in the past. But i'l try it out later today.

Also the VOIP service, using mumble at the moment on other ISP's it's fine but on my Mweb account I have a 700 ping and it sounds like i'm talking with robots.

Good Afternoon Everyone

We have received an update indicating that the SAT-3 cable is still problematic. The new estimated completion date for repairs is now the 8th of November. The alternative capacity we have sourced to compensate for the outage will remain in place until the repairs are completed and we hope that this will keep your frustration levels to a minimum.

Once again we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kind Regards

MWEB Operations

Good Evening Everyone

We're currently experiencing an international outage that has significantly reduced our capacity. Our engineers are following up urgently to determine the source of the problem and establish how soon things will come back up. In the mean time unfortunately we have had to cut back Peer 2 Peer traffic and you can expect other international services to be slow.

We'll update you the minute we have more details - let's hope the weekend improves from here!

Kind Regards
MWEB Guy

Is this why NNTP is completely dead?

Things are looking surprisingly brilliant for the last hour or so. Currently doing 530K/sec on a 4mbit account on a 10mbit line. Let's hope they've resolved their issues now and that we're back to normal. It'll probably bomb out again later tonight though, but I'm gonna hold thumbs that it doesn't. :)
