What does my line speed have to do with this? Any other account I have no problems on these sites with, only with my Mweb account do I get such issues.

Ja and 1Mbit streams 360p perfectly anyway.

@MWEB Guy: Thanks for checking up, last time I was watching at about 2am it was working fine. Will check a bit later. :)
 
Anyone having issues with steam at the moment? Since last night at about 00:00 it takes forever for steam to log in (about 4 minutes).

I have not picked up on many users experiencing this.
Is this the only issue you are experiencing.

At pressent yes. Torrent speeds seem a bit better than yesterday morning though not by a lot. I'll check again how it is tonight.

Hi Death Master 88

Torrents are shaped all hours of the day.
In the evenings more bandwidth is made available to shaped protocols like torrents depending on the demand on our network.

Thanks. That explains why I get 100kb/s, but I don't run my Torrents in the day.

If I need something downloaded I do it at night when I go to bed.

I'm knocked down a notch. I get 480p sometimes, 720p never :(

At least 360p works like a charm. It's just kind of ugly at 1920x1200.

Although, to be fair, video streaming is my only issue on MWEB. Latency, Skype, Steam, browsing, etc all work at their best. Put it this way, I'd like my video streaming to be able to muster 720p without any problems, but I'm certainly not going to make a big fuss out of it. Everything else more than makes up for it.
 
Murphy's Law ....... Mweb phones this morning and asks if everything came right, which it did last night. Then 20 minutes ago it all goes to crap and I have packet loss, again :/

Something is really wrong with my connection. Torrents are slower than I'm used to during the day (usually 35kbs) where I'm getting max 15kbs. I can understand that sometimes torrents can become slower so thats not too big of an issue.
My steam however is. At present steam is trying to download a patch for Team Fortress 2 and its peaking at 7.5kbs. As far as I know the steam issue for me started some time last night. Login still takes a couple of minutes.

At the moment download speed is back up to >95kbs. Hoping it stays that way. Thx for the reply and I will update if the situation changes.
