Doesn't sound right. 23GB in 12 days is 2GB per day. Mweb is nicer than that :)
Email them and ask them to check it out.

MWEB do not throttle they shape. Might be a problem your side as Ive done over 200gigs before 4mb line.

Hi soutie54321

That is weird as we do not throttle any of our customers.

Send me your MWEB details so that I can have a look into this for you.

MWEB Guy

Anyone know what a torrent should download at (Mweb 1MB uncapped line)? I've just had my line checked by Telkom - and for a few weeks torrents were downloading at about 80-90K (sometimes 100K) per second. Last night though it was back down to 30-40K/sec. I thought it was maybe because it was around 18:00 - and the Robindale area just goes completely downhill for about an hour as everyone gets home and logs on - but at 22:00 I was still downloading at 30-40K. Maybe just a glitch? I'll try again tonight and see - but 30-40K is like my old 512K line.

Hi john_deckard

Please test again tonight and let me know if it improves or not.

Steam downloads horribly slow - +- 10KB/s on 1Mb line. International access slow as well. I have tried restarting router.

I'll PM you my account details. As you can see its pretty grim.

@Superspeed.... you busy downloading anything atm? Your latency to the exchange (hop #2) is really bad. It should be in the region of 10-50ms.

Just a question. MWEB prioritizes gaming right? or so i have read. Does this include all platforms? PC / Console?

Hi Wasp_21

Gaming in general is prioritised on our network. Please note that there are other factors that contributes to your gaming experience overall.

MWEB Guy

Hi AVX

Is it only international sites? Please can you send me traceroutes and ping results in order for us to investigate further.

I see some occasional slowness on downloads from international this week. Haven't yet fully checked it out. I know its NOT THE ADSL line or the account because local is still blazingly fast
