I've been getting much improved speeds today, it seems. It appears to be much closer to normal. I'll test the speeds over the next day and report back.

Yea Its back to normal finally
Download Speed: 863 kbps (107.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 429 kbps (53.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: -1 ms

Why does my line speed drop to a slow speed at least once or twice a week.

Hi MWebguy,
my usenet speeds have halved since yesterday or the day before, normal data seems fine. Am I being throttled or is something wrong with the news server?

Good evening, we do not throttle. I have changed a setting on your account... Let me know if it improves your speeds.

My download speeds on the Mweb news server have also been poor lately. Not nearly as good as before.

Mweb Guy, is there something you can maybe do on your side? I tried to PM you but your box is full.

Good Evening Swift-wp, you could try reconfiguring your router with the incorrect details; then with the correct details. This will force a connection with a new IP. This is not gauranteed to help, let me know if it does though.

Thanks. I will see how it goes tomorrow and if it doesn't work I will try your method. Are there any other options if it doesn't work?

same here this is with xsusnet accounts, changed to lantic account full speed

Good Evening hereticangel, I have changed a setting on your account. Please reboot and let me know if that makes a difference.

Please also be aware that you have a shaped account and that you will not obtain constant full speeds.
