you actually starting to be annoying with protecting mweb. We do not pay money to SEACOM but we pay to mweb thats 1stly,
2nd we customers and we are not happy with the service we receiving at the moment.
3rd. When mweb agrees on using any cable they take responsibility to their customers for whatever happens to the cable.
4th we have a right to complain to mweb. same right as mweb can complain to seacom so my point is please stop with your bull**** coz noone is clearly interested in waht u think to be honest.

Yeah ok pal, your just starting to sound like a Troll now. All Im saying is bitching and moaning isnt gonna speed the process up, if your really such a hardcore surfer/downloader/gamer then its best to have a back up ISP like the rest of us, for times like these.

Does anyone have problems connecting to the movie DB via XBMC mine just keeps on says it can not connect ?

Same thing was happening after the Seacom outage a week or two ago (think it was Seacom, can't keep track). Basically line seems to get limited to 40 - 50KBps down? :confused:

Impossible to use this, my ping is 4000 on my MWEB account and 250 on my Afrihost account while playing games. Web pages stop loading intermittently every 10-20 minutes.

Connecting to a mumble server in the UK my ping is 800.

I get better service on a 56k modem.

Is any1 else having terrible connections atm? I have 4mb uncapped and about 50% packet loss. Cant even load a youtube video properly

Edit: Seems to have sorted itself out, atleast for now

Which games are you referring to ? Are you playing on local or international servers ?

I am greatly dissatisfied with MWEB. In fact, I'm so dissatisfied I'm going to cancel my subscription tomorrow. I didn't experience any issues with the connection (beyond the regular outage of Seacom...), but the customer service is completely useless. For a company that was able to activate my account in under 24 hours, their unwillingness to address billing issues is extraordinary. I've been struggling for almost a month to get ANY response from 4 different MWEB email addresses. I've even lodged a formal complaint, but without effect.

Yep, also REALLY slow on my side. Can't load any youtube vids, torrents running at 1KB/s. :(
 
I am going to bed now, my internet is so slow i can not even use facebook.... I hope it will be better in the morning.... Really not fun
 
Hi MWEB guy... for some reason I cannot download fileserve premium links (when logged in to fileserve) on my MWEB account anymore. Free files seem to work but the premiun files gives an error.

Is anyone else having this problem? I can download fileserve premium links (when logged in) on my other ISP accounts

I'm not sure what package you're on, but Afrihost has phenominal customer support. I would receive replies from them, almost always in less than an hour, on occasions, 6 minutes, and 22 minutes. The replies were RELEVANT and PERSONAL, not machine generated garbage like 'have you tried calling our wonderful team' etc.

I am no longer on Afrihost because there uncapped is a horrible product if you use more than a few gigs a week. I have switched to MWeb and have been very happy. I voted Afrihost for ISP of the year (which they won), even though I am no longer with them. It is one of only two SA companies that have wow'd me in the past few years with customer service.

Having no problems today. Youtube works fine, DL'd a few TED talk torrents were going at 400K =) Mweb's customer support is really sh*t, but luckily the product has been at a standard I have not had to call them yet after 8 months! If i suspect SEACOM or something is down I just come on this thread
