MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Ouch, did you get a response from them? Was going to download this myself.

yea its not mweb , the client is downloading extremely slow , currently on 20kb/s with 13gb to go , my other fileserv downloads are running at 300kb/s +, at this rate i will miss the beta weekend.

I'm unable to access my Mweb email through the website. It keeps refreshing on it's own and nothing happens- tech told me to turn off pop up blocker, which I did, and it's still doing the same thing.

Good evening Gimaru, you still have a callback scheduled for 2011-11-12 18:30:00. Would you like me to have this moved forward?

Can you please test with only one active device on your network or test what your experience is like with the other devices.

Good evening AfricanTech

Please let me know if the stats you are providing is with a wireless connection? Also are the other 3 devices on your network active at the moment?

Good evening,

Those stats are from the wired PC.

The laptops are active (1 general browsing, the other doing a download throttled to 40kb)

PS3 is off.

LOL - will try later - not worth risking the reaction from the wife if I tell her to stop browsing so that I can test! :D

Dagnabit man! Can't even preview songs from iTunes without buffering and hiccups!

Evening AfricaTech, your results is worse than the results provided to me yesterday; with other devices active on your network. Also the speed test results, was it done on the MWEB speed test?

That tracer, the latency jumps on the 2nd hop. This is closer to the remote end, could be possible congestion.

I have nothing to dl , thanks for youtube or I would sooo bored.

Yep - MWeb speed test.

and I just tested again and it's in the same ballpark i.e. my l'm getting 1 meg speeds (no changes to anything on my side)

What the hell is wrong with international again? Every 2nd day pings in league of legends go up and it becomes unplayable. Browsing is slow, you tube takes AGES to load.

I'm considering contacting the cpa so they can look into the matter. Weeks go past that I have to use other aco****s to game/browse/work on. Just this month the only use i got from this account was browsing and the local steam download of mw3 other than that it has been a pain to use it for anything else.

Wake up mweb stop throttling us into oblivion. If this does not improve in the coming weeks I will be leaving mweb and will never ever come back.

p.s for all the trolls saying mweb is not for gaming go read the uncapped page it states that and I HAVE A RIGHT TO GET IT. I pay for it now if you want to say something to that just go play on the highway.

Yeah, gaming and skype is unplayable/unusable. I mean it will work but the lag and stuttering are just too much. Browsing is relatively fine, but does not require a constant and steady stream like games or skype do. And I know its got nothing to do with my setup or my side as it was fine till the cable problem, and was fine all of yesterday, day before not, today not. Im guessing it will be fine at 3am tonight onwards till the morning and then have problems again, unless whatever is going on is fixed on mwebs side.

Maybe I just need a reset session or whatever again, but this is all really lame.

Its definitely Mweb's side. They reset my account and skype worked for one day and now its back to stuttering again.

Downloading Skyrim at 25kb/s on a 1 megabit unshaped uncapped account from Steam. GG.

I was supposed to test something that was sent to my Mweb email, and the follow up call on Saturday was to give the results. So, maybe 6pm tonight to sort out the email thing? Thanks

Good evening MyDogHasNoNose, your line readings seem fine at the moment; please let me know how your network is set-up and if there was any active traffic when you did the speed test?
When testing, I'm on wired connection with standalone PPPOE. i.e. Just me. Thanks

FML

Ive been having some horrible performance on my 4mb uncapped. Feels like the performance i used to get on Axxess's 1mb option (which is why i switched to mweb). It was great initially but the last 2 months have been pure ass.

It was great watching 360p on youtube with no buffering, gone are those days. But i couldnt complain, i had bounced from isp to isp and they are all ****. Mweb was very un****ty for a while but alas more ****ty **** ****.

But this is what really burns my nuts, the whole reason im complaining right now:

10zptw2.jpg

I have had to wait 90 minutes to play skyrim because a 200mb update is downlading at 30 - 50kb/s.

I would change to another isp but who? Where the **** am i supposed to go? Mweb was my last recourse.

I only use 70 - 100gb per month, where can i get this for R500 and ACTUAL 4mb speeds???

mwebguy dont even reply to this, you are dead to me.
