Seriously. This is the most upset I have been with Mweb for a long long time. How is it possible that in over 20 hours I have only been able to download 30% of Skyrim. Downloading between 30-50kb/s on a LOCAL STEAM CONTENT SERVER. The MWEB Gamezone Content server nonetheless. This is pretty pathetic. And on an unshaped uncapped account as well. All I expect is 100kb/s stable so that instead of taking 2 days to download the game, it takes 16 hours. But thats not possible downloading at 30kb/s...

Same Steam issue.

Am experiencing the same issue with Steam. This is putting a planned gaming weekend in jeopardy :p

Any solution or hints at a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Well, after eventually figuring out that Steam insists installing Skyrim via download even though I purchased the disc. Found a workaround here for any lurkers interested, BTW - http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/452910-installing-skyrim-from-the-dvd/. Am trying to download the 200 meg or so update though, and getting about 35KB/s.

Have already given up playing MW3. Don't feel like trundling down to the store to buy yet another disc.

This was done with 6 other users on the network so full 4Mbps not expected. It was twice as fast and way more consistent than this morning's early session.
Your port reset sorted it methinks!

The update, is it pertainig to Skyrim? Also are you using the MWEB STEAM server?

Good day Confused, please note that Filesonic downloads are recognised as p2p and will be shaped. These files are not true HTTP.

Yes, it's a Skyrim update. And yes, am using MWEB Steam server in the Steam settings. Although the Skyrim update has completed, finally, the Modern Warfare 3 download is inching along at the same slow rate.

Please try using another STEAM server, new content can take up to 7 days to filter down to distant servers (e.g. our local server). When you fetch the data from our server it is actually re-routing to the STEAM server, as the content is not available on the local server as yet.

Is there an MWEB guy on the forum that can help. Firstly I have a 4mb uncapped, but connection today has been disconnecting all the time. My router says I am recieving 5 mbs and uploading of 512 ( is this right?). But when I do a speedtest with speedtest to mweb servers I geting the worst connection ever it says I get 1.4mbs and maybe 400kbps. I have never had this speed. I will add proof
