Telkom recreated my port on the DSLAM, would you mind to check if it is better than it was ?

Good Afternoon TmanSA, your readings seem a bit better; however they are still borderline: ATUR Attenuation 52 dB and ATUR SNR 8.8 dB.

Has your experience improved at the remote end?

Ask them to verify your line readings, then verify ask about the signal strength.

ok Its back to being very slow again took about 30 minutes for a 3min stream.

Ping on WoW is over 1000 is there something up ?

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 256
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 1632

YOur fluctuating speeds are being caused by your line limitations dasco144.

Yes I understand, but still the fact is only my NNTP is affected. My normal http downloads are fine, my NNTP fluctuates all over the place.

NNTP is shaped more than true http, again your deteriorated line will affect your speeds.

The connection sometimes pauses (Download/Upload rate - 0 KB/s) for about 10 seconds or longer before loading at least one website (local/international). I am in Century City area CT - speed is erractic and slow since yesterday morning.

Countless resets, PC cleanups and tweaks - no luck

I know it is end of month and the CAPPED crowd is using what is left of their bundle

I am on a 1 mb line uncapped but shaped - this is the slowest it has ever been - hope it rectify itself
