My line is not good today. Sometimes the line is dead for at least 10 seconds before loading any website (local/international). It's been like this since last Friday. I thought it was temporary.

Hi Kitty09

We are not experiencing any issues in your area, your account looks good on our end.
I have recreated your port. Please restart your router and test.

wow mweb seems gone again. back to the magical 40Kbs. will preform tests shortly. facebook is unusable.

I'd bet my good money that the shaper is ****ing up the profiles. Let me guess a router down for 30 mins is going to magically cure it again like yesterday. If so then it only tells me that mweb is seriously ****ed in so many regards.

/rant off.

At this rate I'd be better off with refund and cancellation. It's been two days now that's given me crap speeds. I'm going to switch off my router for 30 mins and if it does come on and is perfect speeds then You guys seriously need to get your shaper/profile agent/program in order. Because by logical deduction it's clearly where it issue lies.

BBL.

Good MOrning Spy, please provide me the error that you obtain when trying to access our news server. Also have you tried connecting to the news server via the IP address (ping news.mweb and use the IP you obtain there).

Hi,
I've used the following IP 168.209.98.66, but still get the "Unable to connect to news.mweb.co.za:119" (Socket error #10061 Connection Refused)

Thanx

I have confirmed with our specialists and we are not experiencing any trouble with our news server.
Tell me what program are you using to download from there ?

Instantly fixed after 30min router downtime. Yet there seems a pattern from day to day which somehow gets interrupted with "the all in one reboot" fix.

:edit
seems I was too optimistic there for a sec :(

I'm going to reboot again. Seems that the 41.133.xxx.xxx range is good. Rest is not so good.

I agreed it is a bit weird, I will leave the escalation open and hopefully our specialists will be able to get to the bottom of this for you.

I get the same error with Grabit and Altbinz.

Everything worked fine on both these programs until yesterday morning.

on from @mweb.co.za

perfect.

perfect.

Note my ip range is in 41.133.x.x, tomorrow if it's crap again and this holds and it's out side this range... then well other ranges seems not so good

Really just confused, but thank you.

I have run the testes on the server again and have found no faults. Has anything changed on your system ?
Have you tried maybe re-installing Grabit and Altbinz ?

Hi MWEB Guy

Are there any known problems for the east rand, specifically Springs, because my 4mb account seems throttled at 40 kb/s for anything i do. International browsing and downloading speeds are really bad.

Let me know if your feedback is not favourable.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

A Telkom tech was here today to check out the line, and said there's nothing that can be done about it other than moving closer to the exchange. Guess I'm out of luck?

Thanks sent you my account details via pm. Look forward to hearing from you and thanks for the quick response.
