I have changed your access and reauthed your account. This takes 30 minutes to complete. Allow this to finsh then restart your router.

Things have gone a bit pear-shaped in Gordon's Bay, it seems. On 4mb uncapped and this weekend my PS3 games have been lagging like mad where they are usually quite good:

Good Morning p3t3rmax, please advise if you have an MWEB all inclusive account (if your DSL line is with MWEB); if not I would advise to verify with Telkom as the above tracer is showing latency closer to the remote end. (could be DSLAM related, congestion)
 
Both or internet accounts was just off. Now it was off for about 30min. The dsl light was on and the cd light on the cisco router. I phoned mweb they told me that the exchange was of for the Cisco router and my there was no DATA on my line for the other account.

I phoned Telkom and they told me the exchange was on the whole time and also the line was 100%. So again I feel that MWEB was the culprit. How come 2 lines giving issues at the same time when they not even running to the same exchange. Once I called MWEB everything was fine. Please tell me what was wrong. I hate it when people lie to me. I have no problem when there is a fault and people are going or is busy fixing it but when people lie to me it's just then when I get irritated.

i know everyone keeps saying congested exchange in Gordon bay, but please explain something to me.

how can it be perfect at 1:20 am Saturday morning ... then ten mins later i get disconnected at 1:30am and i have a 1000 ping ?

then the next day and every day since then, the net is 1500+ ping during the day and only works from 1am till about 6am ?

I'm sorry but something else is going on here

Hi All

My ADSL is working again, please note to people in centurion and surrounding areas, it seems that telkom has problems with water logged cable, this is the problem I am sitting with... They are busy repairing it...
 
I called Mweb today to migrate my adsl line to you guys,

And i got a call back saying she will e-mail me the forms, very helpful lady.

Reason im moving my line over to Mweb is mostly because, i don't have the time to sit on the phone every day with Telkom and get nowhere.. Every second month i have the same problem and it takes weeks to sort out.

And right now the lag is so bad, i cant even log into my mweb e-mail to get the forms so i can migrate my telkom line to mweb.

Any suggestions mweb guy ?
 
Hi rpdblu,

I'm afraid there's not much I can do until your line has been transferred to MWEB.
Also if the problem is perhaps related to the exchange or line, say congestion or damaged lines, odds are it will continue when you move the line to MWEB.
We certainly try our best to get faults fixed but we are still reliant on Telkom to fix the faults we log to them.

can you see why streaming from http://vimeo.com is so bad?

Perhaps it can be added to the same profile as youtube and such? The videos are all in 720p, but i can see by my graphs that im not getting close to my line speed from these.

I see all streaming, Gaming, etc etc is slow. Even torrents drops and then reconnects and everything is fine

Good morning Nelis, as per our My Broadband inbox correspondance; you advised you have a problem with your DSLAM in your area. I asked you if you have confirmed this with Telkom, to which you have not responded. Please advise if this has been confirmed and what your experience is like this morning.

My mweb uncapped 384k line is extremely slow. Speedtest.net shows 0.10mbps download and 0.07mbps upload, with a 509ms ping. Web pages often don't load.

It's been this slow for months. :confused:
