MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Why is this always an issue?: Tried updating to iOS 5.1 OTA (directly from device) using MWEB Uncapped and it fails or doesn't even start every time. This has happened before with iOS updates as well. Switched to my FREE FNB Connect account and its downloading seamlessly at full speed! very frustrating.

Good Morning Nasa, this could be due to the fact that we do not have a akamai node (fetching the data via international links); however please provide me your MWEB account details and I will escalate your query.
 
Hey MWEB Guy. Still having reconnects or drops. I bought some gigs on my other account and downloaded everything no problem. So went back to my mweb account and can't manage a stable download for even an hour.

Good MorningWasp_21, I have checked your account and your router has a steady connection since the 8th March. I assume the disconnects you are referring to is the download itself, I have changed a setting on your account. I have removed protected access, please reboot your router for 5 to 10 minutes and let me know if this improves your experience.
 
Anyone else in Somerset west area have a slow connection. Pages take forever to load.

Can you tell me if there's any way to help the latency I have on the D2 Beta? At absolute best its been 500ms but averages around 600 - 800 ms making gameplay really difficult....

I have a 4mb uncapped shaped account.

Good Afternoon PhreeMe, are you only having trouble with ingame latency? Are all games being affected or just D2 Beta?

Sadly so to both your questions. Star Trek online is fine as is BF3 (though that is local...). I just seem to suffer with high latency on the Beta.

Are there international issues on MWEB atm? I mean, besides BF3 and so on, friend is having issues but unable to get onto the forum even.

Hi mweb. Could you please jump on telkom about my line. SNR margins on the on the downstream reaching sub 10 values and then I loose dsl sync. Happening about once every 10min

Edit: Router read -6 for a value just now :\
Edit 2: I made it 9min without a drop. This rain is really slaughtering my line

Sounds identical to what's going on with me.

I pray that Telkom have their **** together tomorrow.
 
i feel like screaming. just dont kno at whom. my line haven't been this unstable in months. one moment its 100kbps the next 0 then 55 then 0 then 75 then 10 then 20 then 90 ten 0. i cant even browse. its useless to try to download something. this sucks...

Have you had you rline tested yet or have you logged a line fault yet.
Also let me know if you have tested with another account yet and if the experience differs.

I thought I would wait the weekend out to see if there would be any signs of improvement in my connection and, unfortunately, it just seems to be worse. I can't get sites to load completely. After a refresh certain links may load eventually... if I'm lucky. HTTP download speeds are shocking.

I'm on a 4mb account and haven't had issues with my connection for a long time but lately it's been extremely frustrating. Here's a test I did through speedtest.net:

Good MOrning PerfectBlue, please advise how your network is configured? How many active devices? If there was any active traffic when you did the speed test? Is there any noise on your analogue line?

Ya, it was related to downloads. Otherwise speeds etc have been fantastic. Thanks for the assistance, will check this evening if more stable on the downloads.
