MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Im getting full speed on news servers, everything! The torrents however are crawling, getting about 2/3kbps and jumps to 30kbps for 30 seconds than back to crawling 2/3kbps. This on a 1mb line.
 
Everything has been pretty crappy for a few days now. 1 mb line.

Good Morning Venom, please let me know if these results are still the same this morning. Also can you perhaps reboot your router for a few minutes, I would like to see if you experience is the same when connecting with a new IP.

HI MWEB Guy, I've rebooted a few times but still getting this:

Mweb during the day has been terribad for me since yesterday.

Unable to stay connected to IRC, I get dc'd a minute later saying * Disconnected (An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine).

And I'm unable to login to Steam without using my Webafrica backup account.

At 6pm however, these issues will disappear until tomorrow.

Anyone else getting "451 Could not complete sender verify callout" when emailing from your @mweb.co.za address?
 
Yea, mweb has been pretty bad the last few days. I have a 1meg uncapped line. I can understand torrents being shaped during the day, but even after 10pm they still stick around the 5kb speed....and yes, on a popular torrent. But torrents I dont do often, what really grates me is I cant even load up Steam in the afternoon. As soon as I use my vodacom dongle , Steam loads up fine. With Mweb it just says there is a connection error.

Hi Pansyfaust

if the problem re-occurs you need to catch it in the act and provide MWEB Guy with enough detail for further troubleshooting.

It sounds like possible exchange congestion, but we need you to get speedtest, ping and tracert results while the problem is present for us to verify this and look into it further.

I've been having that on Openweb - with Steam (also have the extremely slow connection issue - sounds very similar to the mweb issues atm), starting 2 days ago. Before that, updates were also extremely slow. I resolved it by deleting the clientregistry.blob (make sure you know your account password first). When I watched the connection, it was trying to connect to some CDN in jhb and failing. After a few minutes of doing nothing, it would then say that there was an error connecting. Deleting the .blob seems to allow it to pick a new CDN (not sure why the old one wasnt working tho :/).
