MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I have, over the past two days, experienced shockingly abysmal download speeds.

Up until now downloading via http has been a joy with mweb and I have always been happy with the speeds. But since Tuesday or so my downloads have slowed to an average of about 10 KB/s. Usually on my 384 line I get a good, solid average of 30 KB/s.

Has anyone else experienced a similar slowing of speeds for no apparent reason?

i have had the same experience with http since tuesday.

nice techies from mweb called me last night and tried to help but http still around 80kb/s on a 4mb account today. Even after hours max speed is around 200kb/s

normally i'm very happy with my account....got good speeds 24/7....

Please let me know if your speeds have improved? Also let me know if this is the average speed throughout the day that you are getting?
 
notice it seems since beginning May that the speeds have gotten bad.

mine still fluctuating and although the people who browse don't always notice when it is slower, I do.

although again, not that a big since I download mostly, but when you do something like a 100meg file on a 4meg line and it jumps to below 150 and stays for a bit, it can get annoying.

also difficult to predict as it is timed randomly.
 
My download on oron is know 0 kb/s on home uncap it start with 29 kb/s and ir going down to 12kb/s on a 4 meg line mweb is not working at all

I have re-created the port and re-authed the account. Power down the router for 30 minutes and test again.

Also, I see there is an open log on the account, our team is following up with Telkom and will provide you feedback as we received it.
 
Dounload is Stil on dounload manager 85 kb/s rapidshare is 300 kb/s normal i get 470 kb/s

Yes from 25 kb/s to 80 kb/s this is with a dounload manager on telkom I get 620kb/s
is the network overloaded

The network is not overloaded, our network is shaped dynamically.

I have re-authed the account. Power down the router for 30 minutes and test again.

Same as last night , it's been working fine until now , it's down again! And speeds have dropped from 3.2 to 2.4 !!

Please I beg of you! We are really starting to get angry! It's like every 2nd day we have to phone ask ask this same question , "please recreate the port" they say " Telkom technicians will be out soon to fix the issue" and now 3 weeks later nearly 4 actually still nothing, all they have to f****** do is replace the cable under the road! So simple! We are just trying to resolve the problem after having no Internet for 3 months! And do u know we are paying so much money for a big load of rubbish ( to telkom, MWEB is great ) and I understand u guys cannot fix the issue yourselves but please!

We have escalated the query for urgent assistance and we are following up with Telkom daily. Please bear with us while we try and get Telkom to resolve the issue.

I have also added your comments to your existing log we have for you.
