Tell me what protocols are you experiencing the slow speeds with ?

YouTube pretty much dead for me at the mo... Works fine with a video I watched previously so I'm thinking is cached, then I switch to new video and it bombs. Checked with NetMeter Peaks at +-23kB/s average about 15kB/s.

+1 ... YouTube is borked. It's okay though... I was almost in the vortex.

Browsing seems tad slower than usual but nothing too hectic, haven't tried HTTP download, torrents still shaped to 20kb/s at the mo, ping up to 37 from 20ish usually. Down .83, Up .17 from speedtest which is usual. 1meg line...

for me speedtest is 5.22 megabits down and .53 up..so its normal for a 4mb line but http is only 55kb/s

Odd thing I'm finding with YouTube is that took half an hour running at 20kB/s to buffer a video, watched another video and back to previous one now it's running at full line speed, go to a new video again and it crashes back to 20kB/s... Me thinks caching at mweb, which indicates to me that international bandwidth is a wee bit tight at the moment...

My guess is that since the google.co.za servers are not functional at the moment, and that google owns youtube, then all the youtube vids are coming via international as there is no ZA cache?

Just a heads up, the last two weeks my internet service has been pretty good and a pleasure to use. This is from a browsing, youtube@360p and torrent perspective.

Seems that your issue is intermittent. I would advise you send tests when you are experiencing the connectivity issue and send me CMD tracert & ping test.

I'm currently playing Diablo 3 and my latency is fantastic throughout the day (180-220ms) however at night the latency jumps up to around 300-400ms with the occasional very rare spike of a 1000+. I assume this is due to the load on the Diablo 3 servers and that nothing can be done on your side?

Thanks, it's better now. But it was iTunes downloads (apps) as well as just general web browsing.

Good Morning Nookie, that is a possibility. Is it only your gaming latency that deteriorates in the evening? Can you also do a tracer later this evening to see if your browsing is affected.
