Good morning HammerDown, to which server did you do the speed test?

Also please private message me your MWEB account details.

I send a lot of people your way.

There is something to be said for a good service, augmented by a forum presence, and prompt tech support.

Many companies could learn from this...

Thanks capacetic.. it is much appreciated... ;)

Hey dasco144, are you only experiencing latencies for League of Legends?

It seems to be all international at the moment.

Your pings and speed test results to a uk server are not that bad, considering your line is syncing at 2meg.

Hi MWEB Guy - My experience is exactly the same. 4MB line from Randburg to Europe has been constant at between 205 and 215ms for many months now. I am suddenly up to 275ms on speedtest and gaming (lol/wow).

Throughput remains normal, its just latency that has increased.

Thoroughly checked my machine for malware/spyware/viruses. Its the only device on the adsl line.

Is there any chance you guys have stopped using WTFast? I noticed it yesterday around midday.

I hope this helps to isolate the problem.

Keep up the good work!

I did a few to different east coast (US) servers - all returned speeds below 1Mbps and all pings around 700ms. Local runs hard.

BUT ... it is only this morning that it's been up and down (the reason I checked if other people had the same problem), I'm with the other guys, no complaints here, I'm usually running at least 3.5 on my 4Mbps line which makes me real happy :)

Morning rudid, thanks for the detail. Please also provide me your MWEB account info.

Yep, DDO latency is still almost a hundred more than it has been. Judging by what others are getting in Lol and Wow, I'd say something is up regarding international latency.

Guy's, I have just confirmed with our gaming team. We will be testing League of Legends and DDO; I will then provide you some feedback.

No, they aren't that bad. But they are not what they should be. I have always gotten just over 200ms to these sites and only since yesterday did it spike up to those results. Also, what difference does it make if I am on 2meg or 4meg? The exact same time I was playing League of Legends with a friend of mine (him with a 4meg line) we both got the same increased ping.

But anyway it seems like it is back to normal right now. Just tested and this is the result I am getting.

Thanks for the info dasco144, let me know if the problem returns...

Mweb.

Just some feedback on my uncapped 1mbps package... All is good!! :) Happy customer for 3 months now. No issues what-so-ever (Besides telkom working on my exchange of course). Keep up the good work. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a true uncapped solution to seriously consider mweb.

That is all! :)
