Yup, same. Played LoL this morning and it was fine. Did a cmd ping at around 4pm and it was 200ms.

So my Red-hat Africa account has t-minus 10 days left.

Account dialed on router logs in to D3 1200 ms + ping i was like WTF.

Quits game

Dialed MWEB 7 days 4 mb trail account and bang 210 ms PING

Thank you Mweb....

Ok. I think it's more of a non-LoL problem (since my normal latency to international websites, etc are now 30% higher than usual) - it only has an effect on it.

Definitely not just a gaming problem, it's ALL my international.

Also having issues with my connection,

4MB Uncapped, used to get 3.4+ mb with speedtest and connection was great and very stable, now the last 2-3 days getting only around 2.3MB and international ping was usually around 203ms and is now 280ms, anything wrong? Can you maybe help?

PS: this is the MWEB speedtest I do the test on, the one you recommended we use.

+1 to all the above. I get exactly the same problems.

In the interest of providing more information I can confirm that this problem isn't isolated to Mweb.

I bought a 1gb prepaid account with another ISP and get roughly the same results (250 instead of 280 but still substantially higher after someone "throws the switch"). I also jumped on my office adsl on a different exchange ((011)704 and 658) and got the exact same results on the prepaid account (my uncapped is locked to my line).

This doesn't seem to affect my throughput at all. Only latency.

3rd day in a row where it was perfect during the day and then towards end of business.

Hope this info helps to resolve the problem.

Hey Mweb Guy

I'm currently buffering at 240p YouTube, Netmeter shows sitting at like 5kB/s spikes to around 60 for a sec or so then drops again, browsing, torrents etc all fine. On a 1meg line...

Hi ScottulusMaximus

Send me your MWEB details so that I can investigate.

I have increased pings once again. Exactly 100 more ping then my friend from Cape Town.

Seems like all int traffic once again.

Gonna jump on this band wagon. Ping to Dota 2 servers have been spiking to 300ms this whole month. I've had an amazing experience with Mweb this past year, with sub 200ms to hon / dota 2 but been resorting to buying Afrihost to play. I only play in the evening so dunno what the day time pings are like. Afrihost is perma 180-210. I have 2 freind I convinced Mweb was the shizz who live 5 mins from me who still get sub 200.

2 sets of pings and tracerts, 1st one is afrihost 2nd one is Mweb.

Thing is that its not just games. ALL international traffic has increased latency. Just like froot said.

Also, I am still having a problem with Youtube buffering. I am back to using Mweb's DNS and still slow buffering on all resolutions.

General usability has taken a nosedive here as well. Cannot even open up a remote desktop connection over openvpn (while slow, it was fine about an hour ago).
