Anyone else getting very slow speeds and timeouts from astraweb. I getting only around 20k a second from them and a huge amount of timeouts.

Just get Open Office, it should only take 72 days to download with MWEB

im not buying a program to open one file...i use my pc for writing dvds and facebook, and now and then emails with files.
