Getting between 20kBps and 30 kBps on a 512 package for NNTP, not really what I was hoping for :( but better than 2kBps I guess.

News.mweb.co.za is a problem for me. Some content is fast, but for the bulk of the time it is just very very slow. I get a feeling that once things as cached as local it moves. Anything else is just dead slow. Means it is back at looking for an international news server, which is a pity, I would have thought it is cheaper for Mweb if they got their members to download of the local server than eating all that new international. Maybe allocate a little bit more international pipe to your own server?

I'm getting between 20 and 30 average for p2p ATM

gonna turn it off and check gaming

getting btter and better. low downloads was a issue on my side.

its so nice to wake up to a completed download Q, just started a new torrent, running at 350kbs :D

NNTP seems to either be shaped into the ground, or I'm just unlucky.
512 account: Speeds 1.5 kBps to 20 kBps if I'm lucky. I hope this is still being worked on, or this will be the end of MWEB for me if these are the speeds I can expect to get in future. Not acceptable, but I'll give it till Manday evening.

I know we complain a lot in this thread, and I hope I don't jinx it but I have say to well done to MWEB for fixing whatever problems they were having. For the first time in 2-3 weeks I've been getting full line speed CONSTANTLY!

I'm loving it!!!

Hope it stays like this after hours.

Thanks Mweb for the mid month gift :)

I'll just leave this here: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/273236-MWEB-Network-Upgrade-Mailer

There have been several posts in various threads where MWEB reps have pointed out the upgrades.

Hi Monkeybot

The first planned increase took place this weekend, we have also decided to bring the next international bandwidth upgrade forward by a couple of months, and we expect this to be completed by the end of October. By then we will have increased the size of our network by just over 50% and considering that less than 30% of our base was previously using the SAIX network, this should give you a fair idea of how much additional capacity you will have available to you.

Kind regards
MWEB Operations
