Just got this from Mweb
"Dear MWEB Customer
This email serves as a notice regarding your MWEB ADSL service.
Your current ADSL usage pattern shows repeated instances of prolonged download sessions at line, or near line speeds which is placing an undue burden on our network and is not in keeping with our Acceptable Usage Policy.
According to our records this is the third notification we have issued and we are left with no choice but to initiate steps to cancel your service with 24 hours notice."
Well to prove a point i stopped using the account on my 2nd warning which was acutely the first warning i received,
So it's very strange!
Mweb you are now a bad ISP in my eyes i don't think you really monitor accounts you just cancel at random....
Was nice knowing you for the past 20 months...

Email [email protected] to find out more details. They don't cancel accounts at random.
NNTP down here to. mweb news server.
Good morning Savage, which nntp are you referring to (i.e. where you downloading from) and is all nntp traffic being affected? Also please provide me your MWEB email address to enable me to view your record.
Good morning Adrenalin, can you not access the news server?
Nope.
Hi Ronjay,
I had a look at your line readings and it does look irregular. I would advise contacting Telkom and ask them to re-create your port. Please test thereafter.
Regards,
MWEB Guy

Which application are you using to access the MWEB news server? Also are you able to connect to the news servers?
am able to connect, just not pass any traffic. Tried telnet, grabit, sabnzbd - all of them gives exactly the same issue.
Tried different computers, tried different adsl modems too.
Hi folks
WE will lock this thread soon - just getting too long.
MWEB Guy: Can you please open a new one...
