MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Well I have been raising it for quite some time now, and would appreciate an answer better than the one you have provided (no answer really) or kindly, as stated in my first post, direct me to your cancellations department.

Are you saying 5kB/s and below is acceptable on NNTP? Are you saying that the shaping policy has changed that intensively? If p2p truly works as a pool system why are some 4mb uncapped shaped users experiencing lightning fast speeds on NNTP at any given time (200kB/s - 400kB/s)? Similarly, why are some 4mb uncapped shaped users experiencing solid average speeds (100kB/s - 200kB/s) at any given time? And finally, why are some 4mb uncapped shaped users experiencing the kind of crap I am (0kB/s - 5kB/s) at any given time? Why are some users being shaped so badly in comparison to others? As far as I understand we are all on the same product, paying the same price every month, and in the same bandwidth pool.. why the vastly differing results? This question has been completely avoided everytime I've asked it, and I would appreciate a transparent answer. If you cannot answer, that's ok with me, but please be honest about it so I can cancel and sign up with a value-for-money service. With all due respect, the lack of transparency on MWEB's part is the most frustrating thing of all.

Ok so Will clearly cannot/will not answer any of the pertinent questions raised in this post, eventhough he was practically begged - can anyone else advise regarding the cancellation procedure? And if you cancel today when does the account officially expire? Thanks in advance.

And of course I spoke too soon. NNTP completely dead.

It's probably going to die because I'm posting this ...

But mine has been fine so far. International pay service seems to be capped at around 40kb/s and overall NNTP speed is fluctuation around 112kb/s. Almost as if it's throttled to that. It's a great improvement over the past 3 days of 0kb/s during the day though!

1 calendar months notice.

Somehow the way users see internet as democracy and the corperations and companies see it as communism or outright dictatorship just isnt funny anymore, very sad all around.
Emo expressionism aside nntp and DC++ is deader than the dodo.....torrents work though

And this is what doesnt make sense to me. P2P has the upload component. So it's 4Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up, NNTP is just down, surely you'd prioritise NNTP above P2P ??
Anyhoot, Will@Mweb isnt online so unless you feel like dealing with Tech Support answers will take a while.

So why keep moaning seeing asw though you always attack other complainants.
Buy a porn video and shoesh.
Is that 40MB of legal stuff or pirated ?

Whilst trying my hardest to ignore your trolling of the highest order (attacking content of downloads? REALLY now?), I'm quite certain it's 40mb of RFC pdfs or linux manuals.

Clearly.

Since when do i always attack other complainants! Are you high!

What business of yours is it what I download.

Go away troll!

okay, speeds just went crap as well as ping.@Mweb can you check the shaping schedule to see what level of shaping sets in around 3PM on 4mbps accounts ?

my latency is not good at all. getting 50- 100+ on my uncapped account business and home. All happening at the same time. When to nexusisp and my ping was 19. I though ok it was solved now or my line is beter now. Went back to my home account and latency is back to 100 again. What to do. The people at Mweb keep on telling me that it could be the exchange and maybe my neighbors doing downloads. so must i go to my neighbors and tell them to stop downloading so much lol. I tried to explain to the technician that it can't be my line cause nexusisp is fine and mweb is not.

Also my speeds is not that great on mweb ADSL. about 1Mb/s to 2Mb/s+ when I go to nexusisp it's 20ms and 4.06Mb/s. Mweb what is going on. why you always blaming Telkom. I found out when I call telkom they ask what isp I'm using and I tell them MWEB and they don't feel like helping me. The place where I used to work Telkom also have this issue with them. Whenever we used to log a fault Telkom was putting it aside and we came last cause of stupid calls and that is the same now with MWEB. Telkom don't like helping Telkom as much as other ISPs cause MWEB keep on blaming Telkom and they are spending alot of money. Maybe MWEB is the results of high ADSL line rentals. If MWEB can just get there act together and stop blaming Telkom and use some common sense then We will have much better ADSL service in South Africa and real Telkom issues will be solved faster and Telkom will have more time and money to spend on upgrading the network making exchange points better. Can we please get some clarity that MWEB is busy checking for link errors etc.

Well news servers hardly hold much legal stuff.
Piracy is everybody's problem because honest people have to pay more.
You're like a bank robber complaining that the vault is locked.

The cure for piracy is readily available fresh content online.

I haven't pirated one game since getting steam. Yet since we don't have netflix here I still have to pirate series.

With Netflix you stream off the web though don't you?

Thread is being derailed.

Nothing on Mweb's Notice Board RE failures, so can only imagine the Connection Refused to NNTP servers is a result of the shaping.
