This is on all ISP's seems like its the Internationale connection that's a problem, I tried 3 ISPs all the same. Local fine international not.

Hi Guys,

I have just received the following update:

MWEB IPC services in the all regions area will be Slow due to a Browsing - International problem. Engineers are investigating the cause. As a result all users will experience a degraded service during this time.

I will let you know if I receive any further updates.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

I was just about to come on here and say some nasty things before I read Mweb Guy's update. I really think I need to move ISP, I cannot be getting 1MB speeds on a 4MB link anymore...especially if it is normal http downloads...

OK, I'm just damn glad it's not just my line that pooped itself today. 3.1KB/s... haha

Hi Guys,

Just an update, things seem to be slowly coming back to normal now. It appears there was brief problem with one of the SEACOM links. It seems to have sorted itself out now but we'll keep monitoring it from our side.

I will also let you know if any other info pops up.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

Zero redundancy or fallback. Not a good sign

hmmm...I can't notice any improvement, not even slowly

Hi Anthro

We apologize for any frustration you experienced.

The SAT-3 redundancy did kick in, which is why you experienced reduced speeds as opposed to a loss of connectivity . It usually takes a short period of time for the traffic flows to all settle down again and for services like P2P it can take a little longer to get back up to full speed.

Kind Regards
Will

Gotta love the informative posts in here from the people experiencing issues.

Hi,

@Anthro - What Grandmaster Will said. ;)

@Nelis - Everything should be back to normal now.
Have you tried rebooting your router yet?

Please let me know if the issue persist and I'll look into it for you.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

I can't even get speedtest.net to load so I can prove how broken it still is.
And I did reboot my router.

Hey MWEB Guy, still slow here, and this is precisely the sort of behaviour that's been a problem to me.

Welcome to my world everyone. Sucks right?

:p
