Seems Mweb is no better than Afrihost, so much for their own network

On Afrihost I couldn't even browse on 4MB after 2x GB. MWEB Browsing is still flying - and the majority of the time I still get decent speeds so I'm still reasonably happy. Much happier than I was with Afrihost.

Yip - the **** has been shaped out of newsgroups today. I'm also getting between 5-50kb.

I think MWEB actually rotate their throttling, one day newsgroups, then torrents, rapidshare, etc.

So the newsgroups must be flying cause my torrents only going around 4KB/s

Got no probs at my end. Downloading torrents at 53kb which is basically my max. (512kb line). Browsing is also perfect.

my http speed are now 500 kb/s....about time i get some good speeds after a horrible week, speed wise.

If there is 80% capacity, why can't get 80% of our usual speeds? I'd even settle for 50%, but not the <1% we are currently getting.

I would settle for 5%, how can Mweb allow this? Why is there no real comment? Seems like a waste of money ATM, I would rather pay R1299 for Axxess Express +

Where is the mweb representative that normally visits the forums?

Speeds are useless at the moment - might as well go back to dialup. And how come whenever there are seacom problems is only effects Mweb?

guys I am telling you, this is not Seacom ATM, it is Mweb, the Call centre guy who seemed to know what was going on, told me they are tweaking their shaping.
If it was Seacom then how come HTTP is fine?
