Gaming is perfect, Windows Updates work 100%, Torrent's... go... eventually... HTTP goes at full speed all day and all night.

I think a large percentage of uphill experienced by users have "PEBKAC" issues ;)

I suppose me and C0de-Expl01t are on different packages, then. I suspect he's trolling, and I would hate to be seen feeding him, but for some facts from my side:

  • During the day my web browsing varies between 200 kB/s and 350 kB/s.
  • During business hours, my torrents run at 40-120 kB/s, going up to 300-400 in the early morning hours.
  • I use Skype for VoIP and it works perfectly for me.
  • Youtube works remarkably well. There are some buffering, but often it buffers faster than I watch.

Yes, I will concede the following:

  • If you want to download at your line speed 24/7, this is the wrong account for you.
  • If you want to download 1TB of data a month, this is the wrong account for you

However, if you are like me, a casual downloader (100-200GB/month), some heavy browsing, media streaming, etc, then this account is perfect.

Anyone that downloads more than 200GB pm either has serious social issues are is running a backyard pirating business

Why would someone have social issues? Do you downloaders sit and watch every second of the download or what? :D

One season of a 720 series can chow 20gb. 1080p movies can chow 10gb per movie. Easy to get 200gb a month.

Not at all rambo919, have you ever considered that these individuals are backing up the internet in case of natural disaster/world war etc. One day you'll be very thankful to these hardworking individuals and their effort to conserve the internet! :D

I do music production, and updates and sample banks can reach into the high 100's of GB's zone, for example i wanted to download an update to my one vsti library, it was only 700GB :P (im not even half way yet, sitting on 280GB)

Which means there is a crowd that is singlehandidly holding up the high end HDD industry in this country hahaha

I need to make the following statement.
If you were thinking of moving to the MWeb home adsl option, Let me save you some time and frustration.
Dont move the the MWeb home ADSL option!!!!!
OK - thanks.

But what uncapped solution should I use instead then beacuase Mweb gives me 300GB for R550 at the moment and you seem to know of something better ?

It has been running rather slow killadoob ... Last night I saw an error message when I tried accessing MyAdsl ... "Too many connections", Seems Mweb is rubbing off on myBroadBand :D

I wonder if any download tools would accept the following URL:

Code:
*://*

It may be very useful to have a few local copies of the 'net the next time international bandwidth goes down. :)
