HTTP traffic on raipdishare, sharingmatrix, hotfile and so on are very slow yes, but they are mass download destination. Regular sites are blazingly fast still, leeched a couple of megs (weekly updates) just now and it is perfect. Add to that the fact that I have downloaded 300+GB so far this month and I start to feel bad because Mweb is really giving internet away for free at this rate.

i also dont want to complain too much cos this account has been good to me..

i have downloaded 320 GB this month and i think i will be getting less in the following months.

to think that a few months ago i was getting by on a 3GB cap!!
 
Bru, I spent the last two years on Amobia 2mbps capped wireless. They charged R89 per GB for a topup, when changed to uncapped I totaled up my usage and expenditure over that 2 years, came to a total of 491GB and it cost me..... R49,000 !!! This month I am paying R950 in total and getting more than half that. It is amazing if you look at it that way.
 
Yeah, remember the days of the MWeb 1GB "booster" for R99. And what you didn't use you could carry over for one month only. So Downloading 300GB a month on the old 1GB capped accounts would have cost just short of R30,000. Now it costs R900. It's almost 30 times cheaper now.
 
So it's midnight right now and my speedtests have gotten worse.

Im sorry but this is unacceptable

Look at the seeding on that torrent. :-) Not good but I think its pretty decent.

*Sigh* Any bets on how long it will take for the standard MWeb conspiracy theory posts/threads to start? I can't downloadz the interwebz anymore. MWeb sux. MWeb is evil. MWeb is trying to save bandwidth. MWeb is stealing from us. Everyone who uses MWeb is a sucker and a loser. I want what I paid for. I don't care if they rely on upstream providers. I want a refund. I want an apology. I want a personalized email/SMS/telephone call. The support centre staff lied to me. MWeb lied to me. They must make it work. They must install 100% redundancy. Let's go to the ASA and ICASA. I'm changing ISPs. I can't believe they haven't notified us. I can't believe it's not fixed yet. The connection is up now. The connection is down now. I can only download at 2kbps. I can only download at 1kbps. This sux. MWeb sux. Seacom sux. SEA-ME-WE-4 sux.

We know all this, so let's all save everyone the heartache. Let's take it as a given that there may be interruptions. We here have now been notified. Let's take it as given that all these posts have already been made on this specific issue and that all the standard replies have been given and let's move on. Let's assume that the experts know what they are doing and are making improvments for everyone's benefit. If there are no interruptions, so much the better. :)

Please no more conspiracy posts, in the beginning they were kind of amusing but then they took a turn into the retarded.
I actually like my friggen Mweb account, is there anyone else out there like me who doesn't have issues or compliants?
