MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Anyone else been getting bad speeds today? I've been averaging 25kB/s and I'm on a 4MB line.

Ok guys please give me some advice. i was signing up with Mweb for the 384 uncapped.
I got to the final step to confirm ,after submitting my bank details. Now i received a web error and before i could get back in i received an sms with my username and logon details.
im confused? when will the account be active.will it more than likely be tomorrow? im confused because i didnt speak to anyone.

Also now i have logged into my account on the website and checked my services and selected ADSL tab.It looks active but im not sure how? it shows no bytes used yet.
Also under billing it shows my account balance at R 445.06? is that a start up fee included.i dont know im confuzzled :confused:
 
For the Bad speeds today, read the announcement, they busy reconfiguring SEACOM which will impact speeds.

So far I cant really complain the account is doing what it must for me.
 
Yeah was also my first day, and so far so good. Rapidshare flying for me since 10pm:love:, no hassles on youtube. And been getting better pings playing battlefield than when I was with cybersmart.

I think you didn't get the RICA document submission page, so you'll have to submit that somehow very soon. You don't have to speak to anyone, its a real online application. Or maybe the page which shows your e-mail account details, I'm not sure.

You signed up today so that price is correct, you get charged R219 for June, R219 for July and and the R7.06 is for today. You will pay this amount in the beginning of July. Sometime during June MWeb will phone you just to double check and verify the online applications details.

Thanks for the info, I signed up yesterday too and got the same web page error, but received an sms with my account details, which is working. Just wondering about this whole RICA thing, I haven't gotten anything from them regarding this. The account has been good so far btw. :)
 
/walks onto the mweb boat.

initial signup experience with mweb was not so good. firstly it got interrupted, then i got a nice aspx error just after selecting payment method. got my log in details though but no HELLO :) email with the how to's. then regged wrongly on the site, got yelled at by tech support who seemed to have a problem giving me support around 7pm. in end sorted it myself out.

overall initial experience rating == k@k. overall rating in isp life time signups, it's preforming for last spot next to openweb. so far best signup experience was imagineIPS followed by webafrica and then afrihost when they still was the snizz.

i trust it can go better from here on though :)

Yep, I was expecting an email with some explanation too. So for now I have internet access but am in the dark about pretty much everything else. I'll wait for them to call me to finalize the payment details. :/
 
Signed up with uncapped over the weekend, was pretty chuffed.

I knew it would be bad during the day, but I did not think it would be this ****ing useless.

Yeah I signed up about a month ago and everything was awesome...had no complaints at all. my line was maxing out 24/7 but now its not so good. getting roughly 6kb/s on torrents that are well seeded. anyways...we'll see if it gets better

I'm getting about 15kb/s average now, so not too bad for peak time methinks.

0) client login details for mweb itself not dsl (this would nullify point 2).
1) smtp and pop servers (got them via google).
2) use mweb email to register and not any email with possibility to link account.
3) payment.

... you know the email that say Hi, thanks for your support and here is a mini rtfm.

Want to REALLY try out my new uncapped Mweb line
 
Singed up about a week ago, was awesome, good speeds, decent wow speed but then first of the month comes.... 20 kb/s downlaod speed (4 meg line) and cannot log into WoW without disconnecting
