Well then there you have it, you clearly don't need Mweb and I can assure you the feeling is mutual - so cancel your Mweb account.

Oh wait, what's that you say? Something about being cheaper? You'd rather pay R2500 instead of R80,000? Well then sir, you are welcome to do so, just don't expect the same R80,000 service for the R2500 option.

Actually no, i wont be removing the diginet connection. We are testing out the business accounts for our off site developers.

I've had the same crap everybody else has had, slow speed, really bad latencies, even all the downtown. Experienced it all and yet I still pulled of 96GB on my 512Kb account. I see this as a frikken bargain. Where else can I pay R600 (All-Inclusive) and download that much? My previous package was Openweb's 10GB for R640. Yea there are the occasional slow speeds or downtime, but then sometimes there are the occasional good speeds. I remember some days I'll get 53Kbs of torrents the entire day, and that was during business hours. So you have you ups, and your downs. But as far as the service goes, I think its excellent in relation to the terms and conditions. It works just like I thought it would, in fact, better. I thought P2P would be almost non existent. MWEB has proved me wrong. +1 for them and their hard work.

And their customer support isn't the fastest, but the experience I had with them was decent. Once you have their attention, they'll help you till the problem is fixed. I mean, I had a girl calling me almost everyday updating me on my line migration status. That service you don't get anywhere else.

peace.

:D no wonder you happy with the "service" ;) :D

At last - someone that understands the concept of "you get what you pay for". MWeb Uncapped, with all its outages and heavy shaping is still a better deal than anything else. If not, why would you still be using it :-)

Haha, ja ja. :D

Thanks man, and it's the first thing I realised when I signed up for the package. Knowing that paying R300 for uncapped ( the telkom 512Kb line is a given) will have its cons. I mean R300... uncapped... I knew from the start that I'm gonna get what I pay for. A very cheap uncapped service.

Has anyone managed to cancel an uncapped account with Mweb?

My journey so far:
1. Phone billing to cancel, get emailed form to fill in.
2. Fill in form and email [email protected]. Get a case number on the 31st. Get another case number on the 1st. Get suspicious.
3. Phone today. Spend 20min waiting for them to look up case numbers, email addresses and everything else, get told that they can't find anything and I must just mail again...and what? get no reply again? Get blamed for missing the calendar month notice and pay for July?
4. Forward all case numbers and other documentation again. So far no automated case number email, maybe that's a good sign....

Fun....

At least Axxess let me cancel with one click through the website with no stupid calendar month notice. Glad to be back on express+, at least I'm getting what I paid for.

yea thats why i signed up with TRL coz of the one month notice... but TRL gives bad speeds it takes 4 hours to download 200mb!!! my 4 month old son would have finished high school before i reach 300gigs like you guys using MWEB

jerichau, did you remember the magic word?

did you say Please ?

Yeah, pretty please with a fracking cherry on top, didn't help. PMed operations rep here, hopefully they'll take charge of the situation instead of getting me to repeat the same task that didn't work before...

Shame i'm getting 19 :D or do you mean you line is 8Kbs?

Got 14gb lined up for tonight, will post tomorrow how it went. NZB's. What you using rapid?

Getting 50KB/s on 4MB Line. Whats Up? Any ETA on this nonsense MWEB?

Speeds are really getting a hammering on mweb! 4meg p2p running at 50KB/s !!! Shocking! Do not mind during the day, but really after 19h00 let the shaping relax a bit!

Getting 40Kb/s odd on a 2meg line but its just jumped been getting anywhere between 0 and 15kbps the whole week. Not cool mweb
