4mb on MWEB? That's what i meant. The 384 Express account is double that then. And you were getting half of what? -.-

I think you are confusing yourself. I was on the mweb account and was not achieving their advertised speeds, whenever i asked why am i getting these speeds it was oh its a best effort service. There cancerious shaping policies gone astray.

@Roux - Even if my account was severely broken now i still wouldnt complain purely and simply for the fact that, when things settle i will be downloading at FULL speed at 8pm as opposed to 4am on mweb. You will never get the download amounts on mweb that you do on axxess.

I understood that. My point was , that on your mweb account you stated that you were getting 200-300gb per month. On your Express account you quoted your friend getting 500gb per month.

With MWEB you were paying R500 , with Axxess you are paying R1000 (again assuming you took the 384 account).

That is what i was referring to. You're paying double and receiving double , thus , technically looking at your data usage , you got what you paid for with mweb. (if excluding downtime and other problems you had)

Waiting for fanboi justification (swear I just posted this, must be in the other million threads)

ROFL! Wow, you are a clown! Anyone who supports MWeb is a fanboi according to you. Must MWeb purchase and lay their own undersea cable overnight? SEACOM is down. Everyone is routing through the congested SAT3. Must MWeb pull bandwidth out of a hat? WHEN SEACOM IS DOWN THERE IS NOT ENOUGH CAPACITY. Sigh.

I think everyone who does nothing but complain about MWeb yet does NOT cancel are the ACTUAL fanbois!

I am waiting for all your fine print. You never read the conditions of service and just agreed to it. So yeah its your fault not Mweb's.

There were NO written TOC for the uncapped product dude. So you bought the 'cola' as well, yet you now hint that you would not. You're not making sense.

Its also business when I want my money back when they can't provide a paid for service for an extended period of time.

Sigh. Go read the T&C. Carefully. Use your finger to point to each word as you read it.

Yeh - I forgot - feedback against a company in a feedback thread is trolling

Feedback threads, and threads in general are only for those wanting to praise companies.

Contact trashing of a company and everything they do is not feedback. Realistic, valid criticism is feedback.

Of course not having international capacity irritates me -- I also have things to do. But there is NOTHING we can do about it and MWeb is doing as much as they can to help us. Constant bleating about how much MWeb sucks and how they are ripping everyone off is NOT feedback.

We've been promised an improvement, which has not surfaced. I'm sure we all agree that you are No.1 Fanboi and attention-seeker par-excellance.

Shizza, even Google is stukkend!!!

Well... I was bitching a few days ago about some problems I was having...

And then.. Shabam! Seacom is down.

I have nothing left but Lols for South African internetz.

This isn't even about mweb anymore... Seacom is just super fail.
Tbh we were way better off without the bloody thing if this is it's quality of service.

Yes that's my friend not me, i have not yet used the account to the full extent yet as i have stated already, but when i do want to download something i want full speed, not some half arsed service. Technically speaking you are right, because that was the most i was able to get with mweb, my computer and downloads where running 24/7 i was trying every possible route.

Anyways i will report back my usage at the end of the month with axxess. Believe me i am the first to complain if i dont get what im paying for. But as it stands im happy.

Sema you check axxess got 4 meg uncapped for 500 bucks and people are pulling 600gb.

I might check that out just need to confirm if it is working now that seacom is gone.

Those accounts i believe are similar to the mweb accounts obviously via IS's routing. I would not go near those to be honest.

I have a friend that is with Axxess normal 4meg Uncapped @ R500p/m , He is using his WA account at the moment. So yes , those accounts are affected by SEACOM as well and have no International access.

600gb a month is far more than mweb though.

I'd rather believe mybb usage reports on axxess over the ones on their site. You never know how accurate those stats on the site are.

Mweb have put some users on an SAIX proxy. However, they have BLOCKED P2P, GAMES, SKYPE, and anything else apart from basic browsing. Even that is painfully slow and erratic. Any ISP offering a FULL SAIX link would be better.

So much for their backup bandwidth. International is dead. *sigh*

Outage Num:8084
International ADSL outage affecting all regions
Members may have trouble accessing international webpages. Latest Update :- Please note, with immediate effect the interim capacity that we obtained from SAIX has been significantly reduced due to constraints on their network. Most customers will not have access to international bandwidth at this point. Access to local web sites, Internet banking and e-mail will continue as normal. We\'re urgently trying to secure alternative capacity and will keep you updated of any developments.

Chicken or fish:

The complaints wrt MWEB these last 2 days, made my day LOL! (ps I'm on AXXESS and riding out the storm ;-), don't feel alone)

Take the 3 everyday things most of us are used to:

ESKOM - must we blame ESKOM for the hours without electricity or oursleves for buying so much electronic gadgets that there is a shortage or the mines using so much (the money or the box?) - where's the generator? ;-)

MNET - Lightning hits your decoder, no redundancy Who's at fault - The BIG Guy, MNET or us not holding on to a second decoder ;-)

BP - Oil spill? BP, ourselves or HENRY FORD ;-)

Life is a journey, enjoy the ride! (We can only blame ourselves):D
