MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

I'm afraid I've been nothing but absolutely disappointed with the mweb adsl (supposed) 384 uncapped service. I've had it for three days, I've called their very expensive to call call centre stood on hold for an average of fifteen minutes at a time, to have them refresh the service, get the the 384 speed for about 10 min and then have it go back a speed worse than iburst - I actually thought that was impossible. Speedtest.net gets me 0.03mbs. I think if your going to lie about a product/service that you obviously can't provide properly, don't do it. It just makes your company look like money hungry thieves. I'd rather be robbed than conned. And I think mweb is just conning the crap out of South African consumers. Definately not renewing the month to month. Definately going to find an ISP that actually delivers.

Hi Wandile

Can you say: 'newsgroups down again'?

Still 'unable to connect...connection closed gracefully' on 196.28.182.20.

My downloads are fine, i peak at 1.2kb/s

196.28.182.20 doesn't work for me at all, unable to connect

With all the problems on news servers I don't know why people still bother with them. I only used to use them for the local content, but with uncapped international there's no need. Filehosting sites still run great, occasional torrents I need are usually fine too. No way I'm going to sit with dead connections etc on news servers. (Btw, I think MWeb should fix the newsservers rather than us having to change to other methods, but news servers seem to always have had these problems.)

I'm getting 0 on a seeded torrent.... 5.6 on Astraweb... 4MB apparently isn't even 0.1MB with MWEB.
