OK, been an hour now and my line has been maxed out like it was three weeks ago on Mweb.

Guys that are having problems just need to swap to another ISP for a hour or two.

You will see an immediate affect on your line speed.
 
Mine is also back to normal....... HOPEFULLY it lasts. Coz i asked Openweb for a test account :D

18:40 P2P = zero download :(

Logging onto another account here, just did a router request like a tech or w/e on facebook requested and still no difference.

Its unshaped dude, but I talked about the free gig in relation to someone saying it might be my telkom line or a user fault. I know unshaped means better download, but if that account runs max speed it cannot be either my pc, me or telkom line. Basically an easy way to rule out that suggestion from an uninformed poster.

Update: Absolutely no change after logging back in to mweb from another account.

I just started my P2P and are getting between 10-20 KB/s, this morning I was running at 70-100KB/s before it dropped due to congestion and shaping. I have been running the news server all day at 40KB/s, not as good as last Saturday but at least it took 1+ days to download a 9.1GB file. Not at all impressive but at least better than nothing.

There is issues Mweb speed issues or congestion agreed but there is no need to throw the toys out of the cot or/and be rude towards Mweb or the reps trying to do us a service. I am looking to see if an solution will come from Mweb, if not then I will vote with my R539.00 elsewhere if I can get the same or similar deal with better results. My point is that there are many more MyBB members which are happy with the service than the few that complain here on MyBB. The best is to let Will investigate the details but that I will only allow when I am happy that I have done everything I could on my side first. Via HTTP I usually get close to full speeds using browser or IDM, depending on time of day. All in all it's still better than my old 3G Telkom cap. With PSN and KZ3 I need +- 1 GB a day and Mweb served me well there. My KZ3 XP rating WW and in Europe is proof enough of that :) We will see what the future holds and Will will make sure it improves for us. I am confident.

@ Will, its sad when P2P uploads faster than it downloads as experienced tonight, whats up dude, did Mweb change anything since Saturday?
 
ATM it sucks..., Using only 1 PC I get No youtube... NO http downloads, NO https downloads. Slooooow http browsing and Fair https browsing..... Now try that with 4 PC's at home.... I have had to use a webafrica account for the past week... are MWEB gonna reimburse me for the days of lost/NO connectivity... i think not...

I think there is an issue between JHB and their upstream providers as since Saturday it seems very erratic. We will have to wait for Will to inform us whats cooking.

i cant even get onto google since 7pm this evening before then it was fine wow latency in the 1000s as well

Ya here in Cape Town the net has been a bit off past couple of hours or so(international). Hope it was minor, I am about to take a nap and stream one of my favorite erotic thrillers. Mmmmm
