I think they're looking at what the problem is. I was experiencing the same problem on mediafire.com, but not when I switched to a different ISP. On mediafire, when I click a link to get the download page for a file (which then contains the actual link), I get taken to URL like this:

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1234567890

Once that page has loaded with the actual link, the URL changes to:

http://www.mediafire.com/?1234567890

However, that's not happening -- the first link (with the "download.php") never loads. I've worked around it by manually editing the links and removing the "download.php" part so that the page with the actual download link appears.

Harsher is such a kind word. It's shaped to a point where downloading is impossible. And it's definitely not my line because a Telkom capped account runs @ full speed.

Yes, which to me means http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?* is deliberately being blocked.
 
Its like M-Web's network is set to "Seacom Down, No Sat 3 fallover ... Ditch everything except web and e-mail"
Fileserve completely dead for me too :-(
I am going to be p155ed if it is still off at midnight!
 
Another night of being unable to raid. Both WebAfrica Unshaped Prepaid and Mweb Unshaped Uncapped accounts used. Still getting horrible spike lag during high throughput. It makes no sense to me. I really have no idea what to do. I reported the fault to Telkom. They cleared it. I have reported another fault to Telkom as I write this. I have no idea what is going on and its making me really frustrated and angry. I especially upgraded to the Unshaped Uncapped account to make sure that this wouldnt happen. It seems to me that it has to be the Telkom line since both ISP's have the same affect on gameplay yet the Line stats haven't changed. I downloaded Netlimiter 3 to double check I dont have anything going on in the background and nothing is. Please please help me.

Please keep me updated as to what Telkom has to report. I have had a look at your line readings and your attenuation is high.

My understanding is that SEACOM outage earlier this week only lasted one hour.
 
I understand my attenuation is high but please explain to me why it has been perfect for over 2-3 months? Then all of a sudden after one weekend it has become unplayable? That has nothing to do with my attenuation. All my attenuation means is that I cant sync at a higher speed. Packet loss on my first hop is not because of attenuation. P.s I have had this attenuation since 2003. It is not relevant in my problem. It just means I am far from my exchange and is well within limits for 1 mbit adsl.

Ping statistics for 41.132.12.1:
Packets: Sent = 864, Received = 862, Lost = 2 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 8ms, Maximum = 271ms, Average = 13ms

My first hop after my router. 271ms and 2 packets lost. Going to try the other account and test.

Other account first hop:

Ping statistics for 41.185.70.1:
Packets: Sent = 1189, Received = 1188, Lost = 1 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 29ms, Maximum = 446ms, Average = 35ms

What is going on???

if all my downloads went at full speed altbinz says all 34 gig would be done in a day.but alas not everything is cached.So basically some come down at 4 meg/s others much slower at +-1meg/s so sad is my story.:P.sorry to hear about your troubles.
 
Whats up with this MWEB?
I still am unable to even connect to Astraweb,been like this all day.
Even now at 9pm still cant connect!!!
