Yep astraweb totally dead here too.

Seriously M-web - I love you guys but do you actually know what's going on with your network?
 
my news server wont download at all, been like this since Tuesday. whaaaaaaaaaaa this is really getting annoying :mad:. what is up with mweb, my openweb seems to work fine. ps have 1mb line
 
My astraweb seemed to come back last night, when shaping was lightened in the early hours of the morning..

Mweb its properly your shaping device that is faulty again, this always seems to happen after a Seacom outage.. (it normally lasts around two weeks)

Mediafire download links pages working for me this morning. Was not working last night.

Ok, it worked for one file only :(
 
I have tried everything reset my Router and asked telkom to reset the Port even went as far as changing the ADSL login on the router a few times from tiscali.co.za, mweb.co.za and dslmweb.co.za
I get poor speed on my 4MB line (<1MB) with spikes not so often like every 45 - 60 mins (<2MB)
I have been unable to play online this past week is there something wrong with MWEB or should i look to another provider?

Black ops is still slow. Is Mweb shaping the gaming now. Comeon MWEB don't just pass it on give us updates and fix the dam thing now. FFS FFS FFS. I'm going to leave and so is many others if this is continue to happen. There is so many gamers that only uses their internet for gaming and won't mind going back to capped.

Please back it up and fix it or I'm going to capped internet from afrihost, axxess or ay other ISP!!!

I will provide my account info if I know they will call me directly. Also regarding Black ops they ask me to do a traceroute to the master server and so many Times I told them i don't know the IP so now it's my fault that I don't know the IP and you say can't help me. Don't take it out on me rather help me find the ip of the master black ops server. This is bad management from the gamezone department cause people that manage the black ops servers should also play black ops and know about the master server thing.

Still no improvement regarding the international timeouts. Any updates or is the whole network team including you completely useless?

Hi Sillicur

We cannot provide you with any additional feedback on the issues you are reporting without sufficient troubleshooting data. The syntax of the pathping command is very straight forward.

cmdprompt> pathping bbc.co.uk for example is all that would be required and then allow the test to complete fully (it takes longer than a normal tracert). As you are claiming that the problem is specific to your MWEB account please provide comparative results between your MWEB account and alternative provider and if there is a clear indication that the packetloss you are experiencing is on the MWEB portion of the route I will have it investigated.

Also please do not make use of tests to Blizzard servers as Blizzard block ICMP traffic on the last portion of the route and you will not get any valid results.

If you cannot provide this information then I'm afraid there is nothing further that we can respond on.

Nelis as we have no other complaints about Black Ops currently and the server infrastructure is all running smoothly I can only conclude that your constant unhappiness with the Black Ops performance must be related to a client side, or backhaul problem. Can you provide us with any troubleshooting data other than your noted latency increases and steam disconnections from time to time to indicate how we might further assist you with this?
