MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Hi Sillicur

We cannot provide you with any additional feedback on the issues you are reporting without sufficient troubleshooting data. The syntax of the pathping command is very straight forward.

cmdprompt> pathping bbc.co.uk for example is all that would be required and then allow the test to complete fully (it takes longer than a normal tracert). As you are claiming that the problem is specific to your MWEB account please provide comparative results between your MWEB account and alternative provider and if there is a clear indication that the packetloss you are experiencing is on the MWEB portion of the route I will have it investigated.

Also please do not make use of tests to Blizzard servers as Blizzard block ICMP traffic on the last portion of the route and you will not get any valid results.

If you cannot provide this information then I'm afraid there is nothing further that we can respond on.

Kind Regards
Will

I provided the data, in this very thread. I did all that. So in response to this post of yours "If you cannot provide this information then I'm afraid there is nothing further that we can respond on." I respond to you with a big **** YOU. After 3 weeks this is what i get, this response. I already provided them with this data on this very thread. Pathping test etc. Now you tell me this.

Mweb guy also quoted me and said in this very thread that "i have recreated your issue on our test bench" Straight up he said that, I have also given the information requested and now after 3 weeks you come up here and say this, if i do not give you the info again and again (even thou i said it happens sporadically and it is hard to catch) there is nothing you can do or respond to me with.

When it happens again I will try to catch it again and again, thou you wont do anything to fix it because you never do.

Shocking, cant even watch the DotA2 International on 480p on my 4mbit line. Have to knock it down to 320p and it STILL! stops/jerks/buffers.
I've sent my account termination on the 11th, so this is the last you will be hearing from me. Just wanted to know if others were having issues regarding viewing the DotA2 International stream?

Astraweb gets 0kb/s but if I VPN into the US then I get about 40kb/s. Mweb?

You provided some tracert results, but that doesn't give an indication of where packet loss occurs, which is what you will get from a pathping - this is why companies like Blizzard requires this information as a bare minimum for any latency issues that are logged with them.

If the problem is hard for you to catch then it will be equally hard for us to troubleshoot without proper data from yourself and with all due respect I cannot ask our network team to waste valuable time chasing shadows, based on a tracert result from 3 weeks ago. Provide me with valid, current troubleshooting data in the format requested and you have my assurance that I will take the matter further.

Kind Regards
Will

Hi Everyone,

We are currently testing astraweb and will provide you with feedback during the course of the day.

Kind regards,

MWEB Guy

Hi All,

With regards to Astraweb, we have done some checks and this service is shaped. You will see fluctuating speeds as a result of the site being shaped.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

Nelis as we have no other complaints about Black Ops currently and the server infrastructure is all running smoothly I can only conclude that your constant unhappiness with the Black Ops performance must be related to a client side, or backhaul problem. Can you provide us with any troubleshooting data other than your noted latency increases and steam disconnections from time to time to indicate how we might further assist you with this?

Well not only me complaining. other people on my steam list also complaining.

anyone:wtf: not able to download from news server or is it just me??????????

Okay you know what, I will get a time when it occurs. I will catch it and post the pathping results here when i do. But Will, you should have ****ing done it 3 weeks ago when the results were current. But no, you just left it then. Again, that chasing shadows remark of yours is insanely insulting seeing as Mweb Guy recreated the problem on your test bench. That means there is a problem, your own guy said so. Also, Mweb guy, big **** YOU to you. You said your network team was looking into this, so basically you were lying cause according to Will your network team isnt on the issue like you said in this very thread.

Mweb Guy keeps lying. There is actual proof in this thread about what i just pointed out. Its not even debatable.

Also Will, i am the paying customer and you are the service provider, so actually one would expect your team to do the gruntwork if they said they recreated the problem. If its hard for me to catch, yes it will be hard for them too. But it is their responsibility to deliver a stable network isnt it? Your point would have been perfect if not for the simple fact that Mweb Guy admitted in public that he recreated the problem on the test bench. After that the blame falls on you and you have to do the grunt work not the customer. If it wasnt for that simple fact i would have agreed with you.

I do not think anyone in this thread can actually argue that.

I totally agree with you on this one. I also feel Mweb is just not caring. maybe they should get employees that care a little more about customer service. I feel that Mweb can have 100x more customers if they just make their customer service better. The agents at the service desk are so useless they can just put a bot there thats saying there is no issue and that just let you type in your account number and tell you everything is fine you can save money that way. Well even better you don't need anything cause we getting the same answer every time.

One time that I called they told me there was no outages and then on facebook I saw oh there was an outage reported. So from me also bad management. I have a fault open and they keep on telling me it's my telkom line when other isps works fine on my line so why is it only mweb. why do I need to go mweb if they tell me my line is not working good with mweb accounts. thats a stupid answer and you all know that.

The customer is always right and remember that. Don't argue with the customer cause just like that they can change isp. I feel so many people have left mweb cause of this. I actually told a friend of mine to go with openweb and he's so happy with his internet that I'm thinking of moving over. @ Will you told me everything will only get better from now on caugh caugh you mean worse. Mweb don't deserve respect and it's my right to tell people that. And for all my negative comments I have a right to make it cause your service must be in such a way that no one wants to say anything bad about mweb.

A shaped service is not a dead service. Seriously? This is your big solution? With dozens of subscribers moaning about the total drop in performance THIS is your response?

Once again I'm having to resort to buying prepaid bandwidth because you guys can't get your stuff together.

MWEB reps: Explain why since Tuesday's Seacom 1 hour down time downloads from fileserve, filesonic, mediafire are dead, they do NOT even start, they time out. MWEB changed some during the failover routing to SAT-3 on Tuesday, how about undoing that change?

On top of this specifc pages(http://www.fileserve.com/upload-file.php & http://www.fileserve.com/remote-upload.php) on fileserve do not load, as far as I am concerned that can only happen if those specific urls are blocked.

Also can't open up the page

M-Web still blocking fileserve. I lodged a complaint last night - funny how it's so easy to block these sites, yet soooo difficult to unblock them. Very underhanded!
