They are the best...? i am on uncapped 4meg.
During the day i get 130 with nzbs
night i get full speed.
Browsing and normal downloads are full speed 24/7
AND there service is unbeatable.
Well, I used the MWEB 4MB one for 2 days and canceled it, because it was closer to 384kbps speeds. That was Monday. Also tried afrihost's 4mb, also canned it after a week (last week). (still have to pay for the whole month for both) Use my capped cybersmart account at the moment. Only thing that makes skype calls possible out of the 3...
So you are happy getting 1.3mb speeds in the day. I pay for 4MB so I want 4MB, no matter what time of day. Mind you if I got over 100Kb I think I would have been happy as well, but not the 40kbps I got from MWEB.

Lots of 384 people complaining though, my advice is get the account and see for yourself. There are way to many moles on this forum. Mweb have no cap nor do they limit you to x amount of gb's nor do they limit your line speed after a certain amount of gb's, it is uncapped with shaping during the day

Elvis they limit people who pirate during the day so the rest of their subscribers have fast internet to do their daily chores, at night the piraters can go wild.
Yes i am happy with being able to download 100-300gb a month with no worries about my line speed being dropping to 128kbs. Mweb is the best uncapped solution, if you want full speed pirate networks 24/7 there are 2.4k accounts that will suit your needs.
Elvis your logic is so flawed buddie, afrihost limit you line after 60gb and then limit it more after 100 gb and so on, mweb is simple during the day they shape pirate networks everything else runs 100%.
I would rather do 200gb a month on mweb with shaped stuff during the day than do 100gb on afrihost and have my 4 meg line limited to 128kbs for everything. During the day everything runs at 4 meg on mweb apart from pirate networks no matter how much you downloaded, afrihost limit your line speed after 100gb or something meaning everything you do on the internet will be limited. Mweb is the shyte dude and so what if can only pull 100kb/s a sec during the day on pirate networks everything else runs full speed, i can pull 12gb a day if i wanted to and i did 12 gb last night. It is not about the working hours you should judge mweb it is about the entire 24 hours and i am happy with 12gb a day

MWeb has been sub-par since the whole Seacom outage incident. They're still better than the rest though and I believe their current problems are temporary. I still get full speed downloads on rapidshare & newsgroups but only after 22h00 at night. I used to get full speeds from around 19h30 before Seacom's maintenance outage.

Yeah, get a 4mb account. Well worth the extra loot. 384kbps seems to be pretty unusable. A heavily shaped 4mb line is one thing but a heavily shaped 384kbps line is good for sh1 t e...

besides mweb doesn't need any new members their network seems congested, hopefully it will get better with less sign-ups and more cancellations

To all prospective Mweb clients: run for your lives, don't sign up whatever you do. We're all suffering here, you're better off with Axxess and Afrihost.
dude c'mon if u want 24/7 full speeds then u must get a business account for R2500 u cant expect to pay R500 a month and want full speed 24/7

I can't wait to sign up with MWEB. There will always be good and bad stories for any product but MWEB is more consistent on MYBB compared to other ISPs, or, so it would seem

You can tell the people who have not discovered, or worked out, how to download things
Killa, you may need to redefine what night time means. I am not getting full speeds from sun up to sun down. The other night a number of MWeb subscribers were complaining about still being shaped at 9:30pm... I have been getting slow speeds at 11pm on some evenings. Even when it does come through full speed it is erratic. It is definitely not the wonderland you make it out to be after sunset.
OP, at worst you are stuck with them for one month and can then move.
I still wish someone at MyBB would take the time to compare all the offerings at the same time for a month and provide feedback.

Lance did you read my first sentence saying people are complaining about 384, i can only relay my experience on a 4 meg account and i have no idea at what time the 12gb i d/led last night started going full speed, i generally play games at night then sleep as opposed to sitting waiting for the full speed switch to be flipped.

As well, mweb have changed my mind big time. I used to go through like 7-8 local only accounts that were full int on first connection, now i have one account and i can even unplug it now during a lightning storm without worrying about my int becoming local only

That is the dumbest thing I've read today. They have a constant contention ratio, you can't congest a network with too many sign-ups. Too many heavy users is a different story...
