Will be far easier to get a Google certificated box that will run the app.
 
Can the MXQ pro 4k watch any live tv channel and get the list of channels on the side of the screen? I don't get that channels tab to show the list. DSTV support says its only available on browser and not on the app?

Can you perhaps confirm DSTV's suggestion that it can be accessed through the browser?

Hi all,

About 10 moths ago I bought the MXQ Pro Android 7.1 Smart TV box on Bid or Buy.

The DSTV Now and Netflix app is already installed and working perfectly.

A few weeks ago the DSTV Now app notified me that a newer version is available, but I just clicked "Later".

Now suddenly when I open the DSTV Now app it doesn't work any more, I get a pop-up , "Update available, This version of DSTV Now has expired, please update to the latest version...".
Currently the DSTV Now app version is, V 1.42.6

Now, before I go and try to trouble shoot the issue and probably mess it up even more. I would appreciate any feedback on on how to rectify the issue.

Hi all, I have an permanent error 403 on Dstv Now ver 2.1.18. Could you also kindly send me the instructions for Dstv Now on MxQ Pro as well. I've re-ninstall & cleared cache many times. My address is [email protected]
 
Hi all . Dstv now app will only work on the mxq pro 4k by downloading it from apkmirror.com . Download version 2.1.18 . Unfortunately the only issue will be that the live channels will show a error message 404. This wont be such an issue because you will be able to watch live tv by going to the tv guide and choosing a channel of your choice. When the app starts do not update the app. The app will not give the message saying that you need a Google certified devise . Thank me later .....enjoy........
 
I got mine working very fine, just change the Play Store settings, disable the Auto-Update, also turn off the Google Protect because it scans all installed apps, then download the DSTV Now version 2.1.17 ... Don't update the app click later.. that's all, Enjoy it

Thanks James, but how do I turn off Google Protect
 
Anyone having problem with any TV box that doesn’t support dstv now or playstore should let me know… I have a trick and app you have to install and everything works 100% fine like normal.. Just a simple trick.. Email me [email protected]
