My first Linux experience, facing some problems.

Posting this from Linux using my Wireless interface ;) :D :p

:-)

good to hear it is working, and you learned a few handy commands too ekse.

Lol :p ;) :D I'll give Linux a shot when I've got a bit more energy. It's still disabling my Wireless once I boot back to Windows, which is weird, and I have to get used to the colourlessness :p ;) :D

I used this link to fix the Wifi, but I had to move the laptop back to the router again:

Luckily me and that dude had the same adapter ;)

Dankie oom, maar dis dankse aan die maters wat gehelp het ;) :D :p

Ek sal maar vorentoe 'n external harderskyf koop en dan Linux kompleet install ;)

Actually I did a search based on the name of your adapter as stated in your lspci output :D

Cool beans, like I said, I'm still having a few problems, but that would probably get sorted along the way.

This may sound stupid, but I rebooted after the Wifi worked back to windows, because I hated the way FF displayed myadsl, it looked disgusting. I know I can change the font etc. but I don't know where the font folder is to see a preview.

Where's the "control panel" ?

Uninstalled Ubuntu Wubi today ;)

I needed the space. I'll get an external sometime in future then I'll try to use it again. It's a massive learning curve though, but I'll do it when I have the time.

Ja, I also have the same problem.

40Gb is too small for two operating systems to coexists. Am looking at getting an 80Gb (or better) for my laptop. And then I'll see if I can drop in two 512Mb sticks :D

But at present I can do my work :D

I've got an 80GB on my laptop, but even with it it's far from enough.. :p

Wubi didn't work for me on an external drive...
