Hi Guys
Please help me!!

So at home I have a network which works well, doesn't give any issues when connecting to to internet or browsing another PC on my network.

Setup:
A. 1 X Netgear Wireless Access Point (N802T - I think)

B. 1 x Netgear Wirless Range Extender (WN2000RPT)

Problems im having:
1. When streaming using my iPad, the iPad is connected to point A and the PC i'm streaming from is on point B usually it will load like 23%, 44%, 60%,90% and then eventually start the file.
2. The network doesn't play mp4 files

The other day though I tried a different router (was a broadband router) and boom, it hit 50% and then 100% and started the file much quicker, ALSO, the mp4 files were playing without a problem. Both devices were connected to the same router but I was on the ipad in a different room though so still the same distance as my normal network.

Do some network devices not stream mp4? whats a good WAP to get that will solve this problem? Is there something i can change that will allow me to have a better network?

Thanks!!

iPad does play .mp4 files but they have to be with in Apples parameters IE resolution etc.

And instead of downloading x264 files, rather download .avi (xvid) files so that it will play on your iPad.

Hi There
I have not had any issues with the .avi files either

What was the connection speed of the new router? It may be going faster than the old one to the AP and may also give you better wifi connectivity (n instead of g) to the iPad.

Regards

Tim

Hmm could be the speed of the new wireless network, thanks for the advice guys!
