I phoned them. They don't stock Nikon cameras.

450D, 1000D, 400D, perhaps the D40/D60. I'm feeling impulsive. Probably should wait a few months and get the 450D.

Can't go wrong with anyone of those. You must hold the Nikons and the Canons in your hands, and find out which one works for you.

Hmmm... that's not a bad price! With Kit 18-55mm lens (I hope it is the version II lens - should be unless it is very old stock)

I wonder if it is covered by Nikon SA? Makro is not listed on their website as a dealer. Either way, it has a 12 month guarantee.

Can't speak for Nikon, but I bought a Canon 350d special (printer, flash etc) from Makro and it came with Canon SA guarantee slips.
