My solution to uncalibrated monitors . . .

Nice photo I can't get another program still learning how to use photoshop and busy playing with Lightroom 2 which is pretty good.
 
Yes +1 for silverefex.

Lovely pic bwana !!! I would clone out the 2 distracting 'tiny islands/humps" on the left centre of image.

Yeah - I did that (and removed a ton of sensor FOD) in a later version. I was just playing around with some of the free styles they offer. :)
 
Talking about playing with software ... I have been playing around with Alien Bokeh software and boy does it make certain shots really stand out.

I like seeing the effects of different prime lenses at differing apertures.

Black and white? With the way my monitor is setup I can clearly see a yellow sunset in the background :(

Seriously, I made the mistake of setting up dual 19" LCD monitors at home. They're both Acers, but one is glosssy and the other is matt. I have literally spent hours trying to get the colour output the same on both of them. Everytime I think I've got it right I try a new test image and the colours are completely different between the two.

I've now given up, reset them both to factory settings and accepted that one it slightly blue and one is slightly yellow. Much better to save my sanity than spend hours obsessing about getting them the same.
