that's only with the alternator running, surely?

My car battery sits on 12 dead. 13.8 while charging.

"Fully charged automotive batteries should measure at 12.6 volts or above. When the engine is running, this measurement should be 13.7 to 14.7 volts."

I knew it was above 12V ...

A friend of mine, who did a lot of off road motocross type stuff, said their favourite pranking was riding up next to a buddy and then hitting their front brakes :wtf:

Easy to do on an MX bike, not so easy on an Enduro bike as most enduro riders have hand guards. But yes, great fun too :)

Hmmm, Honda is useless.

But... Go to bike, put on/off switch to OFF.
In quick succession I do the following:
Ignition ON
Engine ON
Start

And then I get a little engine turn... With noise still persisting. I think this is a battery issue. Will run to get a multimeter after the meetings...

What should the charge be?

If you do it yourself. No charge.

Time for a bit of refresher reading . Never gets old . https://www.arrivealive.co.za/Motorcycle-Accident-Cause-Factors
Prompted by the upteenth near miss I ve had to extricate myself from. However in this case ABS saved my bacon allowing me to steer around the obstacle but only just...I'm pretty sure standard brakes would have had me doing a skid and correction with an uncertain outcome.
The most recent on the m3 near bishops court where fscking motorists headed towards town chance the lights to turn off to the left in front of one as they head towards Claremont chancing the lights
Stay safe mybbrs

Yeah I know of or hear so often from these Ysbere who turn ABS off because they are too good for such things.

Usually they don’t even have a clue how it works.

The reality is 99% of the time of you know how to ride you’ll never even notice it nor need it.

It’s the 1% where you get it wrong by not having paid full attention or gotten on the brakes quickly enough or panicked and definitely would have gone down otherwise that it’s nice to know it’s there.
