Yeah - I think if it had an option when buying I would go for it for sure. It was R6k when I enquired end of last year- I assumed about R2k labor.
I don't think I'll do it since I'll probably trade in or sell within the next 2 years. You know me - although I might be slowing down these days. I don't know. It's just that one bike that does a bit off everything...so if you have to have 1....

Oh no it won't be 2k in labour.

Less than half an hour.

Might even do it for free.
 
Still, at this point would rather spend the money on some KTM farkles that's needed and some petrol for trips, rather than a luxury.
It is awesome though.
 
Check the UV blocking of the face shield itself?
 
Any guesses as to where it would slot in price-wise?

I did check the face shield but it appeared to offer no reduction in UV. I tried it in combo with the sun visor and found results to be similar to just the sun visor alone (from what I can recall). Spirit also indicated in email the the sun visor alone offered adequate protection.

Cool - thanks :)

I have a Shark with sun visor, but I have taken to wearing sunglasses instead of using the visor as I find them much more effective, as well as being polarised. UV didn't even enter my considerations. But I can definitely feel some sun burn on the parts of my face exposed through the face shield.

Typical sunglasses however won't fair very well against road debris and you can't close the face shield with polarised glasses

I actually don't recall ever getting sun burnt on any trip, even where my visor is open a lot. The only place I've gotten burnt is a tiny bit between my jacket and summer gloves

Since this is a generic bike forum - I'm going to move the post regarding Spirit Sun Visor over to Think Bike where it can be given more moderation.

I believe there is a Spirit rep on there as well. I'd like to see his views on the matter.
