R1241 to get a new EK chain fitted at Randburg Motorcycles... Good, bad, ugly?

Try Fire it Up, rather fit a DiD chain.

They helped me out at 17:45 on a Friday afternoon, fetching me from the side of the N1 by Malibongwe when my chain snapped.
Fetched my bike on Saturday at 11:00.

Just trying to show you the type of people they are.

Thanks. Why DiD over EK?

Randburg MC is like 1km from my house...

Why do you need a chain an almost new NC?

What mileage are you at now?

It's not new, I bought it 2nd hand. 45000km.
It's at the limit of the adjustment now. Can't tighten any further.

I've heard of DiD, not EK, which leads me to believe a more renowned brand should be better. Many dealerships carry DiD chains over OEM (KTM ones anyway).

Aaah okay in that case it's actually done very well.

I would also go DID but purely for the same fact I don't know EK at all.

But there can't really be all that much difference.

From all my googling, there seems to be satisfaction with EK. And given the proximity of Randburg MC, I'm just gonna go there rather than fk around with 4ways traffic

Pity it's a Honda

Yeah I'm sure it will be much of a muchness really.

Couldn't find anything to say what the OEM was.

Chain done. As a value add they say bring it back every two weeks, they'll clean, adjust, lube free of charge

Bike's in for the proper annual service today, at Randburg MC.

Quote comes in at R2580. Biggest component labour at 3.5 hours. Oil and 2 oil filters another R900.

Phoned Honda. Bike on track to be done tomorrow. Did start it earlier today. Still to do roadworthy tomorrow apparently. But then the caveat: must just find out if payment from insurer must clear before they can release the bike.

For vokken voksakes
